  • Anyone know when our play off games are likely to be and the final? I’m in Greece 17th May to 24th be gutted to miss it. (We are definitely getting there).
League 1 final is always the Sunday, so will be the 25th May. Would expect the semi finals to be played before you leave so should be all good

Might miss leg 2 looking at it if it’s on the 17th flight out is early but I’ve already efficiently found a bar that I can watch it in.

  • Ive made a mess of it, going to the Black Forest on the 24th. In my defence, I had to fit in with non-Charlton mates.
  • We’ve delayed our holiday to Greece until the Monday. I watched the last one on my phone in a hotel. Never again.
  • Table not looking terrible tonight.

A win against Orient on top would be lovely.

  • Great set of results for us tonight.

Orient loss (and a red seeing their man suspended for Saturday) and Huddersfield loss.

Means if we win our game in hand vs 22nd place Crawley we go 1 point behind 4th.
Provided we win our games until then... Got three matches to worry about before Crawley, we could even be ahead of Stockport by then
  • Orient will start to fall away I reckon.
  • Orient look knackered. I thought tonight was a game too far and they played most of it with 10 men.
    Bodes well for Saturday.

  • Orient look nackered hudds starting to struggle could be a great time to be playing both.
  • Orient there for the taking. Injuries, suspensions, and just spent 80 minutes playing with 10 men. Beat them and they'll have 3 defeats in a row and no momentum.

Their top scorer has just had the night off though, after being subbed off just after the red card... Along with another one of their players.
  • There goes Orient’s “free hit” this weekend 😉
  • If Huddersfield get a win tonight at Northampton and Orient get something at Birmingham then I think it’s starting to look quite difficult again. We really need both to lose.
We didn’t need both of them to lose at all, but as it happens... Huddersfield and Orient both did.
  • People arranging and re arranging holidays around playoff timings is tempting fate somewhat isn’t it?

I’m in a Greek airport during the final 🤦🏻
  • It's all set up for the "Charlton had the week off whereas we had to play 80 minutes with 10 men midweek " narrative in Richie Wellens' post match interview...
  • It’s all getting very exciting! It’s in our own hands now and you can’t ask for more than that. He might be a nutter but I honestly can’t see NJ allowing an under par performance in the games left. If you want someone to ensure 100% commitment and concentration from a team Jones is your man !!!

We play Stockport before the Crawley game so might already be ahead of them anyway.

Sounds like Viewfinder’s flat cap wearing cousin.

Signs are good for us, but things can change fast as we’ve seen ourselves this season.

I wouldn’t be cancelling holidays just yet, but maybe reasonable to have a contingency plan.

I've had a feeling for some weeks that we will beat Wrexham at Wembley.
What feelings did you have in our other successful and unsuccessful playoff seasons?
Last time we were in the play offs I was 100% confident we would go up. In fact I was so confident that travelling up to Doncaster I saw a bunch of Pompey fans travelling up to Sunderland at the service station for the other play off game I quietly chuckled to myself that they were wasting there time making the trip because we were ultimately going to win the play offs, nearly told one of them too!

This time round i'm feeling confident we'll make the play offs and may even surge for a top 2 finish on the basis 3rd to 6th could be quite tight and wondering if Wycombe may drop into the mix but ultimately think it'll be beyond us. Not as confident as the previous play offs though as I feel one key injury could disrupt the entire way we're set up to play.
I've said for a while this season is feeling like the season Bow took over from Karl Robinson. Started alright but playing some not great football,  slump in the middle, before a resurgence (when Bow took over) to get us back in the mix and make the playoffs. But ultimately didn't have enough to go up.

That's how I feel about this one.
the replacement words for the line ‘and now we’ve got Lee Bowyer’
’and now we’ve got the nutter’

    Or

’and now with the Welsh nutter’

    Or

’and now with Jones the nutter’

    Or

    ’with Nathan Jones the nutter’

    ......’we’re f***ing dynamite’

  • ‘ And now we’ve got our jonesy’ - syllables seem right ?
  • Or ‘our jonesy’s’

Both if you can. But seriously we do have a manager who has a clue. I actually look forward to watching a game now, just as it should be. Fingers crossed he can get back to Division 2 this year
