  • I’m all for letting games flow, but this ref is letting an awful lot go. Barely blown his whistle all game.
They’re very very handsy with Campbell
Not as handsy as Mitchell was shoving their bloke into the advertising boards. I always thought pushing someone was a foul.
  • Bit scrappy and Leaburn forces the ball out for a throw.

Bit pingpongy up the RHS at the mo and eventually we're caught offside.
    Royal Horticultural Society? :/

This game is very much like the last game of the season @ Adams Park, where neither side really looked like scoring for the most part, and was a lack of interest from those playing - Have they kept playing since then, and just changed shirts / location?
  • Pass it ffs sake Leaburn  !!
  • Wycombe down our left, we clear to Leaburn who's getting manhandled all over the place, passes to TC and it's out for our throw.
  • Leaburn tries to send it wide to Docherty but it's out for a throw on the halfway line.

We obviously aren't playing along to this commentators script, must try harder second half!
  • Wycombe loft the ball into our box, Mitchell heads clear.

  • That free kick Bakinson gave away. When the kick is taken, no Wycombe player can come within 10 yards of the player taking it. So why does that player then pass it eight yards to another Charlton player, who is facing him with opposition players behind him. So he has no option other than to pass it straight back to the taker, who is then closed down by Wycombe players, so no longer has the advantage of an opportunity to send a ball forward unchallenged? It makes no sense.
  • Midfield appear to part like the red sea as Wycombe come forward, but eventually remember their job just outside the edge of our box and block and clear.
  • 1 min added time.
  • For all the complaints about how Jones had us playing in the opening stages of the season; Wycombe aren't playing too much differently... They're maybe a little better at keeping the ball if anything
  • This is a tough watch....
  • HT: Charlton Athletic 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers
  • Pitch not helping but my god that was hard going.
  • Attendance 15,455 including 1,457 Wycombe
  • Solid half but this could be the two most boring sides in football meeting

  • Flying jump from Jones over Mitchell to head clear, looks like Leaburn might be being impeded, but the ball goes back to their keeper and the whistle goes for half time.

Wow...anyone see any grass on that layer of mud we are playing on...
    Mud?

Have you ever played on a muddy pitch before?

    ...😉
  • That pitch is a disgrace, we’ve been done.
  • Late arrivals at fen towers meant I could catch that first half. While it wasn’t liquid football we have limited a very good Wycombe team and have probably edged it. If Berry gets a slightly better contact on that shot this place would be very positive. TC playing like a man full of confidence and he has the beating of his man every time
  • Played well. Solid and if TC had taken some pace off his pass to Berry we’d be 1 up
Only disappointment is MG. Someone flick the off switch on his long ball setting

It's so we can get our silky smooth passing game flowing at the earliest opportunity.
  • Not the finest game but we’ve limited Wycombe to nothing and should have scored ourselves.
