  • 0-0 but Berry had two good chances early doors and credit to Charlton for negating Wycombe who are a free scoring team.

The Problem is they have two of their best forwards on the bench today in Kone and Onyedinma who will play a part in the 2nd half.

No worries......we'll counter that by bringing on Ahadme & Hylton.
  • Think 15.5k is overstating it a bit but it's certainly a lot busier in the AC stand than usual. The game not much to shout about, very even game, Berry should have stuck his second effort away after good work by TC. This game will hinge on which sides subs have the most impact. I'd take a draw now but one decent chance and we could easily nick it.

Decent 1st half we should be 1 up but I think this game will turn once the bench is used as they have 2 or 3 players to come on that will win the game for them whereas we have Alan Campbell and Ahadme
lump in on a Ahadme hat -trick quick!
  • Yawn fest.  Wycombe too of the league tells you all you need to know about the quality of league 1. Pitch needs a serious enquiry. Hope we kept the receipt.
I think I must have just become acclimatised to it, I thought it was OK. Mind you, I rarely watch any other football so I've nothing to benchmark it with.

Thought we did a decent job of containing them and had the better of the play. Got to stay sharp now though - next goal wins.

  • Don’t think Jones will get away with not making subs until the 90th minute today. Will certainly need a freshen up at 60
  • Dunno what to make of this, shows how shit this league is that these are second.

Think we have done well defensively and never really look in trouble, our midfield may as well not play though, they never control the ball or make things happen. Miles and TC feeding off scraps.

Second half will be interesting as I think Wycombe have been doing a bit of a Pompey like last season and getting late results.

I'd take a draw, but it this game sums up this league for me.
  • Anyone else’s audio breaking up?
  • Anyone else watching on the stream having issues? Gone down 3 times during half time and was a bit juddery in the first half.
  • Not bad at all from us. If Berry had taken that chance, which he really should have done, it would’ve been an almost perfect half from us in the context of who the opposition is and what kind of form they are in.

Truth is, you can’t really afford to waste chances as good as that.

"Nathan Jones will be the happier of the two managers here!" - well their manager must really be a miserable bastard.

  • Charlton TV since having to use the Sky feed is terrible! So much lag it’s ridiculous

Nothing wrong with the defensive side. The commitment is fine and there have been two penetrative runs (Campbell and Small) but so far it's been a generally dull watch.
  • Apparently Bakkinson was on loan with us last year, you think she would have mentioned that before,
  • Everyone putting in a decent shift thus far, comfortably snuffing out WW attack and showing some genuine desire to play with some attacking intent.🤙

Solid half but this could be the two most boring sides in football meeting

You are judging Wycombe on what you saw 1st half 😀

If Cafc keep a clean sheet today we have done well.
I don't think we will but stranger things have happened.

    1 up 👏🏻

  • Second half kicks off. We come forward down the right and win a throw
  • 1-0! What a start.
