Random posts causing a stir, you just have to love deadline day! I feel today will more just Monday for us and we won’t see anymore in other than Gilbert.
Why on earth would ANYONE sign a striker who's been injured for 2 months, and let out one who is fit, and came on as a substitute in our last 2 games? That would be absolutely bonkers...

If Kanu isn’t playing anyways then buying a player who seemingly has high potential as punt would be a good move
Tovide is a league 2 forward that has missed 15 games through ankle injury in 23/24 and then has missed 12 games through a mix of hip and hamstring injuries in 24/25.
He wasn't available for 25 games in 23/24 and 12 so far in 24/25. From the information online.
The bar is on the ground, and some of you are bringing shovels.

Whilst you scream at the club to buy players, and then scream... NO NOT HIM!!

Yep, that's what I've said. Another classic Charlton Life exaggerated quote myth.
"Welcome Alex Gilbert, curious to see how he gets on. Personally feel this will be one where it's either gonna work really well and we will be gutted we won't be able to get him in the summer, or, he's as useful as Fiorini. Loans always seem to pan out that way here, unfortunately, usually the latter.
I always take positive comments from fans with a pinch of salt. Too many times I've read that a player will "walk this league" or "he's too good for that level" but it's the complete opposite.
One way of looking at it is if he's on the bench for Boro who could be a Premier league team next year next season, he must have something to offer.
The other way is he's had about 30 appearances in 5 years. Doesn't strike me as someone who is ready to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
Hopefully it works well and we are gutted he won't be staying as he scores a hatrick at Wembley.
All the best Gilbert 👍🏻 "
"Owen Dale would be a decent option. Very good player in this league and can actually run past a man, currently only two of our players can do that with any consistency"
"The closer the window gets to shutting, the more open to the idea of Cornick I become.
Experience with Jones, Bristol City fans seem to still like him, so I doubt he's lazy, at the very least.
And finally, without being too rude, he would surely offer more than the other strikers we have/had at our disposal in Gas, Hylton and (sorry) Chuks. Maybe even young Kanu who I think needs a loan to sharpen his skillset. "

He’s only 21 - some of those injuries might be behind him under our new regime. Would you say the same about the club who eventually sign Miles off us?
I’m not excited about what he could contribute in the next six months. I’m excited about what 25/26 and 26/27 looks like with him in the squad.
That all said, this could all be a massive wind up so grain of salt required. :-)

“Samson likes to do the majority of his work in our left channel, whereas Ty likes to do the work in our right channels so there’s a slight difference and they can definitely play together,” said Cowley.
Tovide likes to drift out wide left, that fits our formation.

There's also this from last January:
Sounds about right for us.
Or heaven forbid... do an Elerewe, let them have him on a permanent deal and we can have the option to buy him back in the future
The one that played for Cray Valley yup.
He was crap

Where he then scored 17-goals in a season...
We may well have gone straight back up with him up front rather than wasting money on Varney who scored 8-goals
