Not Charlton related but seems that Dijksteel (He seems a bit of a forgotten Academy player for us these days) was close to moving to on loan with Millwall one of the clubs interested.
Lucky for him its fallen through, as Middlesbrough couldnt get a replacement.
OK, I have long since some to the conclusion that all football supporters are lunatics. But I'm beginning to think Charlton fans are the worst.
I've been watching this thread all day. At the start, we were saying "we need some midfielders, what if X, Y, or Z gets injured?"...
09:30 it's announced we've signed a central midfielder. Cries of "Not that one! He's played hardly any minutes/he's not started any games/ he's not what we need" etc. etc.
Then someone comes up with the story about another midfielder. One who's already injured. Suddenly everybody get's excited. "Just what we need!" Why? I presume to keep another midfielder, IF they were to get injured, company in the treatment room?
Then supporters who have moaned about Leaburn's and Aneke's fitness records, get all excited again at the thought of us signing a player that has played about HALF the possible games he could have, in the last 2 seasons. Let that sink in. About HALF the games he could of played. Through injuries. Again, I assume, to keep Chuks company next time he does his [fill an area of anatomy here] again!
Jones has said he wanted to sign "quality" and "game changers" rather than quantity. Yet you think we should be signing players, that with the best will in the world, wouldn't be fit for our next home game...
Then, when it's announced the Owen Dale has signed for Wigan, we're back on "Oooooo! We're a bit light in midfield" again!
I hate deadline day! It turns us all into raving, frothing at the mouth, lunatics!
scum have made 7 signings in Jan two of em scored on saturday apparently , one day we'll be as big as that minge of a club ffs what has become of us aaaaaaah
Tovide is a league 2 forward that has missed 15 games through ankle injury in 23/24 and then has missed 12 games through a mix of hip and hamstring injuries in 24/25.
He wasn't available for 25 games in 23/24 and 12 so far in 24/25. From the information online.
The bar is on the ground, and some of you are bringing shovels.
Whilst you scream at the club to buy players, and then scream... NO NOT HIM!!
Jones said "Only quality additions"
Where the duck does an injured lower league player meet that criteria.
If a restaurant advertised Michelin star food and served up out of date meat and gave everyone the shits, they'd be shut down by environmental health. Football clubs do the same to fans and and wonder why people think of doing something else with their time and money.

you'll never guess who there DoFR is? only the bloke we never gave any money and f**ed off for our very own Mr Scott
No meltdown, I don’t think any of us realistically expect our collection of promotion hungry billionaire owners to compete with the likes of 16th placed Wigan Athletic
Can’t see it, just means Laqeretabua is next in line.
He definitely isn't ready yet. Mitchell neither. I'm glad he's gone to get some game time and I have doubts that he's going to be good enough to play in central midfield for us, but will turn out to be a pretty decent ball playing League 1 centre half next to Lloyd Jones next season.
See we are down to the last crucial couple of hours... Is the only addition really gonna be a guy who looks like a skinny 16 year old with regulation bumfluff on his chin that would blow off in a stiff breeze...🤷♂️
So we’re spending money on a highly rated 21 year old that clearly fits how we are playing. He scores and creates, his physical profile is very good but yet people aren’t happy?
This is exactly the type of signings we should be making. A young player on the up, that we can develop to be a good player for us and maybe potentially sell on for a good profit

Yup, think you covered nearly all of today!
We are just outside the play offs, we have got rid of 7 players from the books - permanent ones we don't want and on loan ones will form the future of this club hopefully (or be sold off in the case of TT most likely in the Summer) and being this close I would hope and prey the SMT see the opportunity and are able to persuade the owners to spend some money and give us the best possible change of making AND winning the play offs.

Its very kind of you to think that I look 16 still, really appreciate the compliment but I'm sorry (You wont be disappointed if you saw me attempting to play Football), I'm not signing for the club.

It's actually really tiresome, the club simply can't win. I think we should bring back Allan Campbell, plenty of experience in the leagues above right?

It's in their hands.
