  • God after 50 years of support and disappointment after Churbs I am honestly getting feb up with this SHIT 😭😭😭😭👎👎👎👎

  • CURBS
  • "Jones: "We created enough chances to actually have got something from the game - we shouldn't have got something from the game because we were 3-0 down.

    But we've had the chances.""

    lol
He's lost me. I cannot stand the bloke.
  • We sold Alfie May for this.
According to Charlie, yes we did on the recommendation of Jones
We can see what Charlie now thinks as he will be at the Bromley Addicks meeting on Thursday. Tough questions to be answered.
  • October looks a really difficult month now. NJ is suggesting he picked the wrong players and tactics so got it spectacularly wrong. Be interesting to see how many changes he does make Saturday. Quite a few I would imagine. Just really disappointed with how it's going now.

I think that if we have a forward line that pose problems other areas will work better. We paid a lot of money for Ahadme so it is hard to accept he isn't doing it. Campbell was a masterstroke that hasn't come off because he doesn't know how to play as a striker. Set piece delivery is a joke. Coventry is ok outside of that but we have to bring that into the side. Watson is weak and so is Edun. If the solution is to bring either of them in, we need our bumps feeling.
  • mannion cant be constantly beaten against so called worldies, Anderson had a shocker against Cambridge in the cup and has started ever since, where is the logic?
godden looks like the only one who can score, yet Gas who doesn't even look like getting a shot still starts every game
  • As others have already mentioned, how many are surprised by this?  So many Tues nights have been like this? If we did not pay money for Coventry we surely did not pay cash for Ahadme? Would sleep better at night if someone could inform us of the 'real' fee for him.
What is also scary is the Aneke points have now gone.
After a good start I think we are exactly where we were last season.
  • I don't want to talk about it

Pretty horrific result, now 3 losses on the trot with unbeaten Birmingham to come on Saturday.
And I don't fancy us to get anything against Stockport either, could well be 5 losses on the trot.
Then Barnsley and Wrexham. We could lose 7 in a row. Exeter won't be a pushover after that and then we have Peterborough and Huddersfield. Jones won't see in December
That run of games looks brutal for a team all at sea at the moment.

    Home vs 1st
    Home vs 5th
    Away vs 7th
    Home vs 2nd

We'll have to be MASSIVELY better than we are at the moment to win any of those, or even get a point.

No keeper would have saved those, c'mon
maybe no, but throughout the season he has constantly been beaten from outside the box, it cant constantly be worldies
  • Wow.....where to start??

The final score is VERY flattering!!!!!

Unbelievably I'm starting to think Jones may well be gone by Christmas.

Tonight's  performance is as bad as It gets.

Something has gone horribly wrong somewhere.  Its very strange how we've got so bad so quickly
As I said Saturday. We've been poor all season, nicking games 1-0 papered over the cracks. Roll on Saturday.

Earlier in the season people were saying, I don't care about winning ugly, some were even welcoming it - "I love winning ugly". What they failed to see was that it was ugly and lucky - apart from Bolton, our wins could easily have been draws. And luck can run out, as we've seen. Ugly stays ugly.
I don't think it was ugly and lucky in so far as we were stopping teams having chances. We were unlucky that we had worldies going in from outside the box against us if anything. But the lack of attacking options was an issue from the off. Jones tried to do something about it after Shrewsbury but probably should have waited on Leaburn and maybe even Dixon. He has created this poor spell of results IMO.

It's scary. I genuinely think we'll be in the drop zone come December

When the nearest midfielder is Luke Berry (sorry to keep prosecuting this vendetta) and you're 25 yards out, you're going to be able to get your strike away without much trouble
  • And Karoy dropped way too
deep and didn’t see the danger

Just as easily as those wins could’ve been draws, these recent losses could also have been draws on another day.

Or he should have brought in a bit of midfield flair in the window, instead of signing journeyman midfielders and former Luton players.

I just want to know which player, within the current squad, does anyone (Including NJ) think can solve our lack of creativity in midfield problems?
Aside from maybe Taylor (who I've seen very little of) I cannot see the answer.
Did Jones overestimate the effectiveness of our wingbacks, or Berry, Docherty or Anderson?
I'd love to know where he imagined the goal scoring chances were going to be created from.
I as a layman, and many others on here it seems, could see that we were desperately lacking an attacking, creative midfielder, yet it appeared to be totally ignored by the recruitment team.
If we create chances we have too many whose career stats tell us they will miss them. We have too many missers in the side. The problem is, Berry, Godden and Leaburn are our only established players who are not career missers. Aneke gets goals but can be a bit of a misser too but he scores a few because he does get chances. How many chances have Campbell and Ahadme missed? That tells a story, They are our strikers and are not even missers because they don't get any chances. We need to go back to focusing on defence for now. Re-introduce the press (where did that go) and rely on our opponents making errors.

He says that he got it wrong.....made changes & got it wrong.

But he did that against Blackpool when he dropped Mitchell, and then he changed it again last Saturday at Stevenage. Changed it again tonight & got it wrong again.  Now he'll have to change it yet again this Saturday against Brum. Will he get it right this time ?

    The new tinker man.
I think, what he's trying to say is "I haven't got a scooby"

Concerning he’s still talking about winning battles and aggression - yes it’s very important, but they also played better football than us. The late goals papered over that.

"I got it wrong tonight. I changed it. I've not done that before".

Great......so are we some kind of experiment.

    Fucking Welsh windbag !
