  • One minute of added time.
  • This tactic of giving it to Allsop is tedious as fuck isn't it
  • Brum come forward, nice bit of defending from Jones, but we can't do anything with the forward ball.
  • So, are we in it at all anybody...
  • Where is Uboat when you need him with the premature celebration? ;)
Cum's and goes at the drop of a hat...🙄
    I know the feeling 😂
  • Kanu looks absolutely dead on his feet.
  • 1 min added time.
  • Can we not push Watson further up against their 27 when they have the ball with the keeper.
  • Coventry has been class tonight - shame about the academy lads

  • No presence up front
  • HT: Charlton Athletic 0-1 Birmingham City
  • Gillesphey tries a diagonal ball, Watson throws a leg at it but can't quite get to it.
  • HT 0-1
  • Bet ya life they will put May on second half to rub the salt in...
  • Campbell been very poo the last 10 of the half, Kanu absolutely dead on his feet doing the chasing campbel should be helping with!

Anderson brings absolutely nothing to the team
  • A wonder goal is the difference.

Think we need someone capable of holding it up front when we do counter. Campbell runs into dead ends and tbh Kanu hasn't really done much for me either.
  • With the constant pausing I reckon I ended up about a minute behind in the end. Half has just ended

  • Half time. Probably been said already but how stupid was the idea that Tyreece should take the penalty?
  • We look good pressing their defence but apart from the penalty we have had no shots on target.
Anderson is having a poor game and there has been no threat at all down our right hand side, so Kanu the right sided striker has hardly been in the game.
This side does not look full of goals.
  • My stream has no comms (and Callum’s doesn’t seem to work in the UK) so no idea what any of the comms have said but seems to me like we’re missing a big lad up top. If he hadn’t missed the pen I’d say Aneke for TC at half time but don’t want to totally wreck his confidence. Doc for Anderson wouldn’t be a bad shout either

Can definitely tell why Jones' previous teams have worked better with a taller player up front, someone who can bring others into the game.

Campbell and Kanu are both great to use for the press, but not really effective for anything else in this system.

No, their number 7 is in front of the 27 and sitting on Watson to stop him pressing.

As with Wigan we’re going to have to figure out how we stop opposition defenders stepping in to midfield to create an overload.

We've got lots of energy but a real lack of quality. Birmingham have rode their luck at times, though. Love to see them play out like this on a pitch like Stevenage.
  • It’s been how I was expecting. With Birmingham being a possession based team I knew it was going essentially be like the Wigan game.

Only difference is Birmingham have been better in attack, as have we.

Anderson for me is just not good enough (currently) to start as many games as he does. I understand he presses a lot, but he can be so sloppy with the ball when we have it.

Should have brought him on to take the penalty ...oh
  • Although we've caught them out once or twice with our press, they've mainly played through it quite easily.

On the other hand we've struggled to create much when we've got the ball.
  • I find our play very confusing. It looks like a cross between a game of playground British Bulldogs and Mike Reid's Runaround! For the younger viewers, a bit chaotic.

Our press is great and very dynamic, but I'm not sure we have the firepower to put the numerous chances away.

Brum have worked out how to play against us already. We need a plan B second half to turn this around. Has Jones got one?
