  • Can’t defend him after that miss, said he was jank months ago and nothing has changed
It was harder to miss,it really was,he did all the hard work losing his marker. 2 yards out from an open goal. Ipswich had our skiddys down.
  • Should have bust a gut to get the contact he needed on that chance. Highlights the issue with him IMO.
  • Is he related to George Weah ?
George Weah's cousin, who impersonated a footballer, more like.
  • Give him time 🤣
  • Ipswich pulled a blinder there.  Stole a million quid off our owners.
A player who in 83 senior club appearances ,most at clubs he was loaned to he has scored 19 goals.

  • He has some of the attrbutes which is probably why we bought him but the sum off his parts is well short of what it needs to be. I think a good example of this sort of player is Pete the Pole. They can look good at a lower level or if they are allowed to play but they haven't got that certain something about them. I commented on this when I first saw him in pre season but hoped he wan't fully fit.
  • Bad miss and not defending him, but the bigger problem is we rarely create chances of that quality.

Leaburn missed a great chance too.

We put huge pressure on our players to be very clinical every game, to get a result they need to take pretty much every good chance they get. Even the god that is Alfie May missed chances and had runs of games without scoring.

Clubs in the top 6 create more chances and those chances will be of better quality.

Leaburn did well and didn't get the luck. It was a 50/50 but he had to direct it wide of the keeper with pace. Ahadme just has to get a proper contact, even off his nose, and it is a goal.

that does not explain the rest of his record, he had one decent season with Cambridge, 11 goals 29 appearances.

I get what they were trying to do though, sign a young striker with a reasonable scoring record who they could develop. If we had a good reliable source of crosses he’d have probably scored a few more for us and his record wouldn’t be as poor as it is for us.

I think the club should bring in a new recruitment rule !!! Delete the telephone number for Ipswich and never ever ever sign any of their players
    Ditto Luton

the irony is that Ipswich's recruitment over the last 3 years has by and large been exceptional

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure…

Signing a player like Ahadme but then having a formation without wingers is the kind of joined up thinking that should get people sacked.

Spot on, we lump balls up to him but what for? He gets no service. Is he expected to take players on because that REALLY isn’t his game.
  • Woeful when he come on today, never seen any jump under so many headers

I take it has had the same issues at Real Oveido B, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Burton Albion, where he played 27 times for 7 goals.

Unfair to read too much into the first few years of his career, he’s only turned 24 this month. What’s more relevant is last season - how did he score double figures? Some penalties, but a lot from crosses. He doesn’t look good in front of goal for us, but not one can argue the service is good enough either.

Actually don’t give a shite about what he did elsewhere, Jimmy Floyd hasselbaink was one of the prems greatest strikers but he was a fat useless tosser for us

all I’m interested in is what he’s done in a Charlton shirt and I’d rather have Paul benson back than this fraudulent footballer

He's not gonna get a better cross/chance this season than he got today. That miss was Bonne-esque.

Yeah we need to create more chances but he's been brought up to the target man/hold-up player, that's his main job, so it's not unfair to judge him on that aspect so far.
  • Ahadme.,you and the rest of us over!
