However, those figures don’t really tell the whole story do they? Over the course of last season, the unnecessary offsides and fluffed chances were his distinguishing feature. He had a handful of good games and his one hattrick came in the game against nine man spurs where two of his goals were rolled into an empty net. Chelsea are so stacked with talent that their main focal point up front ought to be challenging for the golden boot. If he’d been any good, Chelsea would’ve been in the champions league this year.
