I’m not sure players are that bothered. It’s not like they get much time off over Christmas anyway. As a fan I’d have been happy to go and watch us tonight. Far too much dead time waiting for the big day.
The last year of football on Christmas Day was 1957.It was quite common to play on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Usually played the same team both days if I'm not mistaken.
Don’t know if that was a regular thing but it did happen a lot I believe. Seen some strange results too, lose 6-0 away then the next day win 6-0 at home.

Interesting appointment. Would expect them to try and play a similar style to Brighton which could be risky.
Bolton (H) and Lincoln draw
Peterborough (H) beat Barnsley
Mansfield (A) beat Reading
Charlton (H) beat Wycombe
I enjoy envisioning it at least
Wonder which result is least likely. Ours?
