Vale have just had a couple of free-kicks in wide areas near the penalty box that Charlton have dealt with. Second one came back to the edge of the area where Wilson had a pop but comfortable for AMB
Seeing L Watson start for the first time in weeks reminds me of my first impression of him playing as a 10 he gives it and gets it back, is good on the ball, and finds space well. As said above, he has his shortcomings, but he looks very effective in the 10 role, where he's spent almost no time this season.
Ikpeazu up top looks a bit of a presence for the hosts. Heads well wide from a cross under pressure from Jones (think it was Jones, can't see a thing with this sun here)
Toothless up front, fee sorry for Kanu - he’s got no chance on his own
Yeah, he has his moments, but his touch isn't good enough and he's not good enough with the ball at his feet to play there at this point. He's made strides in his movement and strength but he needs to get better technically. He was fifth choice CF a couple of months ago (Aneke, Leaburn, May, Tedic) and he's started the last 4-5 games now.
Comments
Poor old Kanu is up front by himself and hasn't got a hope in hell up against 3 or 4 big defenders.

Attempt blocked. Gavin Massey (Port Vale) right footed shot from outside the box is blocked. Assisted by Tom Sang.
Nothing to split us so far
Must have been kanu's fault, or the wingers, possibly the midfield, maybe Twatson, but definitely not Hector.
Tayo gets a nosebleed though, and loses the ball before he can make a decision
