Great right sided run from TC takes on and beats the full back, cross for Kanu slightly too early gets cleared for a throw in

It’s a surprisingly nice stadium though!
    Wembley of the North.

Lovely quick ball from Watson to send CBT down the left and win a corner.

If that was Fraser, you know he would've slowed the play down and turned back inside.
  • I really must make more friends and develop a social life.
  • Some goals being shown on  SSN
  • CBT run down the left leads to the first corner
  • Oh great run from CBT, tries to square it but 'keeper sticks out a leg to divert for a corner - Should have done better

Lol. Not even the Wembley of Stoke!

  • Close! Dobson's corner is flicked on at the near-post by Hector and palmed away by the keeper. I think that's the best corner we've had all season.

  • Oh should be 0-1... 'keeper makes a decent save from a flick on for the corner

    No one to tap in

  • I think Callum and NabySarr on the LWatson thread covered it well, but LW is not a perfect player.

...but man is his touch good. A couple of composed touches, first played in CBT, second teed up Anderson.

Our players are not used to being in with a chance from a corer
  • Also, at some point someone needs to coach AMB about when to come off his line. Second time in the first 10 minutes he's done so unconvincingly.

  • Dobson takes another corner on the far-side, goes over everyone but Anderson sends it back in, think it was Hector again who won the header but Vale get it out
  • Lovely ball to find Kanu, who held the ball up well but Anderson couldnt do anything with it.

Bit nervy down the other end, AMB comes for another ball, and Hector just about deals with it, with the PV player looming - Ashley caused a bit of needless pressure there I though.
  • Personally feel that aint too bad a CM. Very athletic 3 playing.

Foul by Alfie Devine (Port Vale).

George Dobson (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick in the defensive half.

  • Good start so far, creating some nice openings primarily down our left

  • Watson definitely playing with a point to prove
  • Couple of decent corners from Dobson.. who knew
He was the best crosser on the team last season so I'm not that surprised. 10A and LW probably better this season, but his corners have looked good.
  • Good work from Hector to get across and cut out a run from PV, he was last man so had to get that right.
  • I really must make more friends and develop a social life.
    It's overrated...

    I've heard
  • One of the widest pitches in the league here, should suit us...
  • Messy foul from Edun on Massey over on the left side of the area

That’s what it was called in the post war years. Intention was to build a stadium to rival Wembley and it’s size.
  • Nice lean save from AMB from a shot by Wilson on the edge of the box
  • If you did not know or interested, Maidstone beat s/nage in FA Cup
  • Messy foul from Edun on Massey over on the left side of the area
Dobson heads away, but we dont really clear, bit of pressure from PV on the edge of the area, results in a comfortable save from AMB
