  • If CBT was likely to leave in this window, would he be playing today?
Yeah probably. He's our player until he isn't and we clearly want him to stay given we've offered him a big contract. I think it means a move isn't imminent, but that isn't too surprising. I suspect that if he goes it will be toward the end of the window when a club offers him really good money and us a fee we can't turn down.
  • Think we got away with one there.
Makes a change for us to have a decision like that, tbf it wasn't a deliberate handball
  • Would have been a harsh pen imo
  • Hector's hand wasn't outstretched, not a penalty

Did it? Looked like it came at him so fast he didn’t have time to move his arms.
Might be wrong but thought that didn't matter with modern handball?
  • Anderson not great, Kanu struggling to hold the ball up.

we look so much better with 2 upfront, could easily take Anderson out for May (or JCH👀)

  • #CAFC fans are in the Bycars Stand this season.

Agreed but it feels like those are given a lot these days, especially with VAR. I don't think his arm is in an unnatural position but the current interpretation seems to be that if the arm is out and there's any distance between the shooter and defender it's a handball.

Why wouldn't he ? He's contracted to CAFC until he signs for someone else.

  • Sun has finally gone down behind the Railway Stand on the far side and I can actually see the pitch. Never thought I'd find the Burslem sunset so enchanting.
  • The pen” at Barnsley we were not given was far more obvious.

  • Playing some nice stuff but the final ball is lacking, feel for Kanu,he's battling well but he's up against 2 big lads
  • Ref stated the game well, and has gone downhill ever since...
  • That’s a great save

  • 43' Super save from Maynard-Brewer!
He claws out Wilson's goalbound header.
  • Ref has done them a few favours last couple. Has amounted to unnecessary pressure - frustrating.
  • Should be 1-1. Maynard Brewer saved well there
  • Great position for Kanu. Great pass by Edun.

Weird that we ended up having to go back. Kanu held the ball a couple of seconds and no one near him.

I guess he could have turned and tried something ,but didn't really look on.
  • Pen to Vale.
  • Fucking hell
  • Penalty to them,handball
  • Can’t really argue with that
  • Ahhh damn. That's handball. Unlucky, but that's always handball.
