  • Klaassen is felled by a Wood yorker. He looks absolutely knackered and currently on 90 off 59
  • He's up and smashing Wood

  • 10 off the next two balls from Wood and 100 to Klaasen off 61 balls
  • Thats really poor from wood..
  • I have absolutely no proof whatsoever but there is definitely something wrong within the England camp.
The body language and lack of determination with some of the players is not what we have been accustomed with over the last few years.

    50 to 100 in 21 balls.  Ouch.

Perhaps they are thinking, what the fuck are we doing bowling first....
  • Atkinson concedes 20 off his next over

    368-5 off 48
  • You might as well have me bowling here
  • 26 off Topley's final over

    394-5 off 49

  • Atkinson bowls Klaasen for 109 (67) with the first ball of the final over
  • Another wicket to Atkinson. Coetzee caught by Livingstone

  • In the context of this innings, that was an excellent final over from Atkinson - 2 wickets and just 5 runs conceded to keep the Saffers under 400

    399-7 off 50

Not really any positives to take from that but maybe a smidge of momentum from that final over……..

    Cue the early batting collapse
  • Well done Atkinson for sparing us the ignominy of a 400 chase.
  • I agree with @blackpool72. The players look like they dont want to be there. Still I dont suppose the players will be too bothered. The next franchise competition will be just around the corner. Is it the Big Bash League next?
  • Before I have a really big moan maybe I ought to see how England get on on batting pitch with short boundaries but why decide to bowl first in a furnace escapes me ..plenty of other moans but I ll save that til later

  • To think Stokes could have been sorting his knee out properly instead of putting himself through this.

    That was brutal
  • The walking dead are coming out for their innings.
  • Malan survives an LBW review

    14-0 off 2
  • Bairstow finds VDD on the square leg boundary - out for 10 (12)

    18-1
  • Root falls for the sucker punch of the leg slip trap for 2 (6)

    23-2 off 4
  • So what do we do now? Three more wickets and Willey is in but, equally, we can't afford to get too far behind the RR either.
  • At the valley in the rain watching the cricket ……
  • At the valley in the rain watching the cricket ……
When it rains, it pours. Malan tickles one down the legside and is given out post review for 6 (11)

    24-3 off 5.1
  • Losing this at a canter.

Buttler keeps bowling first & losing. As a captain he is not a patch on Morgan.

Pre-curser to this evening I would add.
  • We could lose this by 300 runs at this rate
