Minto is a proper class act, the sort of fella I’d happily have a pint with and listen to his stories
100%. Can’t imagine to be anything but a decent bloke. Whenever he appears on any format always mention that he’s Charlton. One of those you are happy to connect with this great club. Hiring Minto for Charlton TV was probably one of TS best signings during his tenure.
Anyone that has attended the last 2 POTY dinners will also testify to the professionalism of "our Scotty" but also to his totally fan friendly approach when hosting the event.
Of all the ex players, ex club personnel & FF *members who have kindly accepted our invitation to perform the role of MC over the past 12 years, I believe that Scott has connected with guests most readily. Adults invariably fondly remember him in his playing days and the youngsters as a familiar "Charlton face" who is always happy to engage with fans in addition to his duties on the night.
Fingers crossed he might find a window in his busy calendar next May !
* With a special mention for our co-organiser & wearer of many hats, young Ian !

I approached him last year at the POTY dinner just to say thanks for the great job he does on CTV as a fan from abroad and he basically grabbed me to have a chat and invite me up to the studio.
I p*** off 6000 miles and Bromley Addicks host Bolder and Minto Two cracking guys who must have been bundles of entertainment. Garry Nelson would be good, particularly telling of his time at Torquay as manager.
On Tuesday Scott was co-commentating on Slovan Bratislava vs. Zrinjski, and on Wednesday Galatasaray vs. Zalgiris. Some homework needed for those games!
Really funny listening to TalkSport just now and hearing Scott Minto saying "we" when talking about Chelsea.
Anyone would think Charlton TV is for the scrap heap next year and Scottie needs a job!
Scott lives near me and I see him often. I can assure you Charlton is his favourite team.
Liverpool is his favourite team.
His Dad is from Birkenhead and a Liverpool fan
Maybe so But I see Scott quite a bit and talk to him a lot. He has never mentioned the bin dippers once in our conversations. But he loves Charlton.
He certainly does - mate of mine does work for West Ham (programme articles etc) - does a lot of ‘where are they now’ type articles - he met Scott for lunch last summer, and sent me a photo of him and Scott in the restaurant - I replied saying Scott is the best left back I have seen in my CAFC supporting lifetime - Scott was genuinely appreciative of me saying that - my Hammers mate told me Scott loves Charlton to bits, but is finding current on the pitch performances difficult to handle - aren’t we all !!!

He said so himself. We went to the last question and answer session at Bromley Addicks. His Dad was there. Scott confirmed he is a Liverpool fan at that meeting and I read before somewhere that he was.
He does a lot of media work, so doesn'r always get the time for CATV. If my memory serves me right, I think as well as Talksport, he does media work abroad as well. I can't remember if he said Chelsea TV as well.

It is interesting that even Scott's connection with Rotherham has led to him being drafted in as a POTY compare for the Millers.
