I thought Bonne acquitted himself well and despite lacklustre performances by Dobby and Kane falling to the curse of Charlton there's something bloody minded that I like about the team. Finally.

Gotchya! Was confused as he played next to 2 left footed midfielders today. Completely agree. Having a right footed left back and left midfielder isn't the best approach to building a balanced team.

The ref was awful - blowing his whistle every 5 seconds. Frustrating to watch.

It was a little bit niggly we gave as good as we got and a couple were for handbags between Innis and Norwood who tried to drag an injured Clare to his feet but his minder took umbrage 😉. Others were taking one for the team challenges.
Three league wins in a row and a morale boosting performance at Old Trafford can't be bad.
Barnsley were good make no mistake and on another day they may have pulled themselves together in the last third but they did not and combined with some stout albeit at times last gasp defending we kept a clean sheet.
Leaburn had a frustrating game, which will teach him a lot, they managed him well within and outside the rules. First time I had closely watched Ness, where did he come from? Very impressive kid in a key position.
Interesting to see what length of time Kane is out for, looked rusty to me.

Campbell goal was great especially with the number of people around me shouting "Just effing pass it".
AMB is sealing the shirt with every game, first saw him play for Hamlet (who beat welling today ) liked him then, like him even more now.

Up against a very good side, with tired legs and two early injuries, pulled it off, great win. There were lots of really good performances but performance of the day goes to the Valley crowd. Totally different atmosphere to the Lincoln game and the place was absolutely rocking. Football grounds are a wonderful place to be in when there is that level of noise.
Watched that today and the thought that went through my mind is how on earth are the chancers lining up our takeover even contemplating cutting our academy?
Ness put in a highly impressive performance, building on his recent ones; Maynard-Brewer looks like his time has come; Campbell scored a lovely goal and run his heart out ; Henry came on and put in a good shift, meaning Forster-Caskey is unlikely to be missed; and Leaburn, of course, is destined for a big move, just hopefully not yet.
Why on earth would you want to cut or maybe even close, a system that gives you players of this quality?

Pretty certain Campbell is right-footed. It’s great that he can go both sides.
I thought Barnsley were a good side for this level and we certainly rode our luck in the first half, with the woodwork being our best player.
Hats off to the boys and Holden though, a very well fought 3 points, showing that once you cut out the errors and do the basics well, you can get results in this ball bag league.

Apologies if it has already been said, but I want to praise Holden for his work this week.
He has been able to get us to win both against Lincoln and Barnsley.
During that time he has also had to deal with the huge distraction and the challenge of the Manchester United game. Travelling up there on Monday 48 hours after Lincoln, playing, getting back in the early hours of Wednesday.
Then overseeing two players out, and two players in.
Today he had to deal with the late loss of Sessignon, and a very difficult Barnsley side, introducing a new bloke into the starting line up, keeping faith (rightly) with young Ness, but re-introducing O'Connell, and his surprise (to Michael Duff) pick of Tyreece Campbell pays off, as indeed there was an almost immediate pay off when he brought on Bonne and Henry.
So Holden had to cope with a lot this week, and as far as I am concerned he has managed it excellently.
He seems old school, but a proper football manager, who has arguably managed to get our club to punch above its weight for the first time since the heady days of Bowyer.
One P.S. It turns out Lucas Ness was with the Met Police FC from the age of 11 until we snaffled him, and for that Steve Gallen deserves credit.

We rode our luck at times but broke at pace, which at times they couldn’t cope with.
Most importantly it’s the result that counts, top 6 looks possible.
