    Hold up, film to avoid……Barbarella?
    Not the original surely?
Yep . I don't think they ever did a remake thankfully!
    Crikey!
Most men of a certain age love that film.
    You’re clearly a young un 😜😜

Watched Glass Onion last night. Not bad, and good to see some sea and sunshine. A strange film, though. Mrs Idle nodded off after an hour but it kept me entertained well enough.

Himself went to bed halfway through.
I thought it was a bit ‘meh’.
Certainly not as good as the first.
     I’m guessing I didn’t warm to the cast 🤷‍♀️

I watched it last night, was ok but wasn’t over impressed tbh.

It's a bit before my time ( i'm 54) but i watched it a couple of years ago and yes , Jane Fonda is hot in it but the film itself is terrible.

Yeah. We all watched it last night.
Did drag a bit in places but overall thought it was good

Yeah, my favourite. Probably the only film I’ve seen more than twice. Had family staying so saw it was  on when setting up bed on sofa, thought I’d watch five mins but saw it all the way through to the end again. Still as good.

Following this thread with interest, not seen Goodfellas, ever! but have set it up to record.

Watched The Good Liar this evening on iPlayer, really enjoyed it. Good twist and a satisfying dénouement.
(Really I just wanted to say 'dénouement')

You are in for a treat, Bizarrely, my dad said this morning he’d never seen it despite The Godfather being his favourite film.

I just watched Sicario after its mention on this thread.  Didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped I would, I suppose shows like Narcos that have emerged since have raised the bar in that genre.

Absolutely love Goodfellas. One of my mates loves it so much I can still get a bite out of him every time we talk about it even now by eventually dropping into the conversation something like, "still, it's not as good as Dances with Wolves is it?"

Gets him every time without fail - he hates the fact it didnt win the Oscar and lost out to Dances with Wolves!

Goodfellas was probably the greatest mob movie I've seen and there is some tough competition out there. It would also be in my top ten of all time movies. I saw Glass Onion with my daughters last night. The older one found it terrifying, but the younger one and I had both seen Knives Out and thought it was a very good movie, but Knives was better.

    Finally saw Banshees last night.
Confirmed for me a) why I’m now a goat farmer & b) why I’ll never live on Sherkin or Cape Clear (the 2 nearest islands from here) 😳🤣🤣

    Great film 👍🏼

I'm not a car person at all, but really enjoyed Le Mans 66 last time it was on. Can't remember if I've seen Heat, so might watch that tonight.

I watched The Banshees of Inisherin a week ago and it's still in my head.

The sign of a great film .

It's a really good film made famous for the first ever joint scene with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

Quite possibly one of the greatest coffee shop scenes in cinema history!

Watched Notes on a Scandal with Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett, plus Phil Davis on record last night. Quite good.

There is one scene where Phil Davis says to Dench that he had just been to White Hart Lane to see Spurs. She asked if they had won and he said “3-0, Jermaine Defoe, get in”!

Dench responds “My father used to support Charlton Athletic. It never seemed to give him much pleasure”.

Took a while for me to work out the meaning of the “you’ve got red on you” quote from SOTD.
