If Neil Harris was appointed (he won't be), my 38 year continuous run as a season ticket holder (the crooks/covid season aside) would be over - if that helps in any small way to avert the unthinkable happening, then i felt it worth posting
Rumours from Villa is that we started talks tonight with Michael Beale ?
Are you referring to the tweet which shows a screenshot of an article when we were in talks with Beale? That was from an article last year before Jackson was made permanent.

He can’t have seen it on twitter. Only clowns go on there
Much like my opinions about the squad, the manager needs to be young, modern, knowledgable and hungry for success. Taking the Adkins route of a manager with previous but not recent success is, imho, unlikely to work. Anyone with recent success is unlikely to be cheap and, as I have said in other threads, will likely take budget funds away from getting players. Yes, it all starts with getting the manager right, but TS is not going to drop crazy money to buy the league.
My early feelings are that he'll go after a big name. Carrick, Hasselbaink, Keane - someone like that (but not necessarily one of them). Of those others suggested, Beale probably sounds the most appealing to me in theory, but there are probably others in and around L1 that have the potential for more.
I want it sorted ASAP. This needs to be the number one priority. We simply can't be signing players without a manager - everything suggests to me that this would be very unwise. If the decision to sack JJ has been made relatively recently, he needs to understand that this is the cornerstone pre-requisite to success next season and get someone in. It's in everyone's interest (including other clubs) to have this sorted soon.

Anyway, we're about a week too late:
Alan Pardew: CSKA Sofia appoint Englishman as new manager - BBC Sport
Ex-player ✅
Danish ✅
What about Thomas Thomasberg at Randers? Yes that's his real name.

Bit of a shame though as the players need a demanding authority figure.
