welcome aboard Scott Fraser - my son informs me he had the most passes into the final third last season in English football - strikers, fill your boots !!!
Born in Dundee. Famous for the Beano, cake, and two football clubs on the same street, and calling a pie a ‘peh’. Also the present home of the Discovery the ship that took Scott to the Antarctic. Mr Fraser has now swapped his historical ship collection to the Cutty Sark. Scott of the Antarctic now Scott of the Athletic. Spooky huh?
Potentially this has been a very good window for us. Fingers crossed.
Certainly shows ambition from Mr Sandgaard, and I think there’ll be some on the recruitment team who’ll be keeping their fingers firmly crossed, because if he’s shelled out more than almost all the other clubs in L1 and it doesn’t work out, he’ll not be happy.
Well done all involved for getting this one over the line... A really good window all round. Beginning to really see a spine emerging at last. Macgillivray, Inniss, Clare, Dobson, Chuks and Stockley. And hopefully Fraser will be part of that spine. This season is gone but with good strong performances and players playing together week in week out I have every faith next season will team will be ready for promotion.
Good signing this. Get him in the right positions and play to his strengths then could be great. Reckon in place of Albie Morgan with the set up last night at Pompey might be a good shout.
A hypothetical "spine" of a team made up of MacGillivray in goal, Clare/Inniss/Lavelle at CB, Dobson, Fraser and Gilbey/Morgan in midfield and Stockley and/or Aneke up front would be a good solid basis of a team/squad next season.
Obviously there would need to be some work done around depth of the squad and the wide positions would need addressing but on paper you can certainly see what the SMT seem to be envisioning.

On current form, it would just as likely to be instead of Gilbey

We need Gilbey's running, movement and energy in the midfield.
Unless Morgan starts putting on performances to impress Chelsea, Gilbey is the player to team with Scott Fraser.

Liked him on A League of Their Own - some don't find him funny but lets see what he does on the pitch.
