Compared to some of the other dross we’ve signed this seems good business. I’ve actually heard of him, he’s not crocked and we’ve spent a tidy sum. Welcome aboard and good luck.
  • Hope it works out. Definitely a player there.

Ipswich fans seems perplexed by this signing.
To be fair on those south of the River Waveney, they're easily perplexed.
  • Another last minute panic signing

Pleased with this.  Hoping it’s a stake in the ground for a better season next year and the rebuilding starts now

One of the best individual performances I've seen from a player at The Valley in recent times with MK Dons last season. Hopefully can replicate that a lot more with us.
Did he ever play alongside Gilbey?
    No, replaced Gilbey
  • the times i have seen him he has looked pretty useful. Ipswich fans seem a bit perplexed at the sale.
So am I, he signed with them at the start of this season so why is he leaving?
  • Wont be available for tonights game either

Shame the club had to piss around with this one, could have been the third player to join this month where I've released a Preview early, with them still being eligible

Superb signing on paper. He certainly ticks the box as a left footed dead ball specialist. I have said elsewhere I wanted us to get him from Burton before he joined MKD.

In the summer I suspect that keeping Aneke and signing Fraser would have pleased most on here , add Inniss / Lavelle, Stockley and Washington we have the spine of a team for next season already under contract that will be ready to go from the first day of training.
  • Very pleased with this signing. Creativity in the middle off the park is something Charlton have lacked for a long long time, and this is a player we know can do it at this level.

Be very interesting to see if we manage to utilise him, because in my opinion, a lot of the time we are one of the most uninspiring teams in the league (even Hartlepool and Gateshead moved the ball better than us) when we have the ball at our feet. Hope we start to see a bit more fluidity and movement in our attacking play.

see he was on 7600 a week, according to fans forum
  • Another long contract, that's two 3 1/2 year contracts issued this window.

    Welcome.

Was very good for MKD so hope he can replicate that here.

We do seem to have a lot of similar midfielders now but an upgrade, which this seems to be, is always good.

🤯 just under £400k a year before tax

I think he’s a decent signing, but bloody hell are footballers over paid.

To earn just under £400k a year playing in the third tier is something I can’t get my head around

    Born in Dundee.
Famous for the Beano, cake, and two football clubs on the same street, and calling a pie a ‘peh’.
Also the present home of the Discovery the ship that took Scott to the Antarctic. Mr Fraser has now swapped his historical ship collection to the Cutty Sark.
Scott of the Antarctic now Scott of the Athletic.
    Spooky huh?

Hadn’t heard this before - EFL blocked him signing in the summer of 2020 thanks to ESI

Washington should only be here next season if we plan on loaning out Burstow and Connor can be fourth choice striker. He’s not good enough to be a regular in a promotion chasing team.

Looks to be a good signing and good to see him on a contract and not a loan player.

If Fraser is the playmaker midfielder with the excellent water carrier around him in Gilbey with Dobson behind and two decent wing back ebbing and flowing out wide  (who they are is in doubt !) and with any combination of Stockley/Aneke with Washington/ Burstow in a two up front we will rise up the table especially if Inniss and  Famewo (stop the poor mistakes Akin)
then we will win more than we lose until the end of season.

Stay fit Scott Fraser because you are probably the best we could have hoped for as we will still be in League 1 next season.

Both Ronnie Schwartz and Charlie Kirk didn't come off for various reasons; we are bringing in players to suit the way JJ wants to play. The wing backs are still a work in progress.

    A few questions:

    - Is he fully fit, or coming back from injury as heard that mentioned in an interview with the Ipswich gaffer who hasn't played him.

    - Are the snaps at the Valley from last night, or very early this morning?

It's so good to get a left footer into the midfield at long last. Fraser/Gilbey/Lee/John/Morgan finally battling it out for 2 positions in midfield!
