Get him in the right positions and play to his strengths then could be great. Reckon in place of Albie Morgan with the set up last night at Pompey might be a good shout.
Unless Morgan starts putting on performances to impress Chelsea, Gilbey is the player to team with Scott Fraser.
Right now, he's busting a gut for the team. Trying a bit too hard and losing a bit of composure.
Am I missing something?
I am really pleased that Albie has stepped up, I hope Alex does the same.1 -
i think our first choice centre mid will be dobson, gilbey and fraser with nile john covering for both dobson and gilbey and Lee for Fraser - i predict albie morgan will be at gillingham within a year and watson will have retired7

What I am saying is that there is a debate to be had and neither Gilbey nor Morgan have demonstrated enough to me that they are good enough to be first choice in a promotion winning team. Possibly both may be good enough for a promotion winning squad though. I think we might end up with a midfield of Dobson, Fraser and John.3 -

With Aluko and Carroll the Tractor Boys brought in other similar options.
I am still buzzing. This is an excellent signing.7 - Sponsored links:

Scott Fraser knows what his strengths are and knows that our system is perfect for him. I honestly think this is the most exciting signing under the TS era so far. A real step up on what we have and could really help complete the puzzle.5 -

Nothing about us being a shithouse club 15th in league one, where anyone who can remotely play football will be a guaranteed starter and with the lack of attacking talent from midfield if you can hit a forward pass over 3 yards you’re considered a cert for inclusion .0 -
I like this kind of signing. Young enough with some pedigree, but with the potential to improve.
One word of warning ... my Dundee United mate (and, yes, I have one) thinks that Fraser is a good technical player, but can get bullied out of games. He is not a physical player.
It would explain why Pratley snuffed him out that time.
So, Fraser will need a 'minder' alongside him. I'm not sure we have someone like that.1 -

I think he’s implyIng that Fraser wasn’t prepared to graft it out and wait his turn at Ipswich and he’s spinning that line to the Ipswich public as you’d expect .
Fraser was pony for Ipswich when we tore them a new one in JJ’s golden era , as opposed to when he was at MK and he ran the show against us0 -

This could be an excellent signing. At the moment, we're all scarred by what we've seen from Kirk, Souare, Watson that we need to see it to believe it.3

Law of averages we can’t keep on signing shit7

Isn't Fraser just like almost every league 1 player.
He is really good in a very specific, narrowly deified, position and role and not great at anything else?

The other times he was shunted out to LW, etc

Fraser must be playing or at least in the Match Day squad tomorrow.
He finishes by saying."To make my debut in front of them on Saturday is something I’m really looking forward to".

expect him on the bench tomorrow but to definitely get 20 mins or so1
