Only seen the highlights so can't comment on his performance but a nicely taken goal tonight

He was good. If we're going to play this way then he's the man for the job, presses and works his socks off. He was alongside Godden when we beat Birmingham and he came on to make a difference tonight. He's not going to fix everything or maybe even anything but at least he'll fit better than some of the other things we've tried
  • It was a lovely finish and a great celebration where he was genuinely happy and tried to get up the crowd.
  • A breath of fresh air.
  • He's got genuine pace too, something we don't get with MG, ML, GA, DH or CA.
TC has it too of course, although last night he had a run with their left back and was equalled for speed...... haven't seen that too often.

Seems he rolled his ankle when playing for the U21s, still waiting for it be assessed, but Jones says its similar to what he did against Birmingham

Is he out for the rest of the season?

A frustrating season for Daniel Kanu and I hope his luck changes soon as I still believe he can have a good professional career.

Feels like the best thing for him would be us getting promoted, as then he’d definitely be loaned out

The modern EFL transfer window rules really count against young fringe players like Kanu. Too good for the National League, too useful to send out for half a season with no ability to recall.

1 down, 5 to go. Maybe we will see a Hylton / Ahadme partnership at Wembley after all.......😉😄

NJ said in todays press conference we’re hoping he’ll be back this season.

Would be very pleasantly surprised if we do, play offs seem more likely

Consider me pleasantly surprised. NJ says he will travel this weekend in his pre match presser, excellent timing considering the red card to Chuks

Really pleased, and shocked that he's fit - I didnt think we'd see Daniel again this season, even with the Play-Offs on the horizon

Nathan Jones did state his latest injury was similar to the injury he received against Birmingham, not sure but the time frame for his recovery seems similar as well, good news, just when we needed it with Chuks being banned for having two threatening elbows at his side.

Really surprised, though NJ did say he'd be back before the end of the season.

Must be depressing for Ahadme, when Chuks, Hylton, Kanu, the kitman and Brian Cole are all ahead of him now.
    And Mbick and Dixon

Hes built like a more mobile Chuks so would imagine he'll be on the bench

I would prefer Kanu but it's a game of opinions and I would prefer both to come on before the forward coach Hylton.

I like Kanu against tiring defences. He gives us a great outlet on the break.

Excellent news. Shame he wasn't an option when TC was out as whilst not a straight swap he could do that role well. Good to have the option for the final run in and playoffs.

I like DK but think Mbick is the bigger prospect.

I don't think making it a straight either/or comparison of Kanu vs Mbick serves either of them well. Depending on the situation and the circumstances I can see both being useful in different ways.

I'm not sure there's much between them, Kanu did very well in his first season and despite a lack of options Mbick hasn't exactly broken through he's just warmed Kanu's spot on the bench.

Would have both on the bench if possible. Think DK is easily ahead of Ahadme in the pecking order and as others have said is the closest we have to TC bar Dixon.
