2-2, no goals, no assists, but plenty of new experience and no injury and that is what matters

He's beefed up a bit and confidence/character is showing in the pre-season videos.

I think he was brilliant last season all things considered and honestly think he has all the makings to have a great career. This could be a breakout season for him.

I work with one of Kanu’s former teachers (not someone that coached him football).  He said that his attitude is phenomenal - he will be one of those players that will always make the best of his ability .

Daniel Kanu was a second-half substitute as Sierra Leone suffered a late 3-2 defeat against Zambia 🇸🇱

Godden called Kanu one of the best pressers he’s ever seen, 2:18 in.

Lazy sod. Godden should do his own ironing.
  • Stick with him in the squad.  He will work on his finishing and will be a great player for us.  He hassles so much and isn't fully grown yet.

Tyreece Campbell is unrecognisable this season in terms of his in your face aggression from when he was relatively timid and shy on the pitch....now he's smashing into centre and full backs and terrorizing them with lighting pace.

Kanu will come good but will need time to be come the all round package.  If he can develop his finishing over this season in the way TC has developed his aggression and physicality he'll be a very good young player for us.

Matt Godden comes across as bright and articulate and great to hear his words of encouragement to the Squad, especially Kanu and the rest of the boys.
4 goals which reflect well to the limited minutes on the pitch for the experienced Canterbury born Charlton fan and now leading scorer.
  • Kanu and Godden have definitely come across as our best strike partnership, when it wants to work

Game can still pass them by, as we saw against Stevenage if we dont use them the right away

He isn’t. But he used to attend games at The Valley and attended training courses run by the Club. Think someone said he supports Arsenal.

I had to check the photos on the OS.

Really glad Kanu is back. Probably the best we've looked this season is when we had Kanu and Godden up top against Birmingham
  • Glad he's on his way back, would rather Kanu than Ahadme any day.

So frustrating if that turns out to be the case. For me, Ahadme should be loaned out (to anyone) in January, preferably lower league(s), to give him a better chance of getting some goal action. If he doesn't perform over half a season, then cut loose in the summer (if not saddled with him, due to the lengthy contract). That money, how ever much it was,
would have been so much better spent on a midfield general.

I thought he brought in midfield generals in Docherty, Berry and A Campbell 😁

    I take that back....
