Happens though doesn't it. He wanted to move to a higher level and it hasn't worked out. We've also paid fees for Lawrie Wilson, Danny Haynes and Sean Clare who were all at our academy. Not quite as bad as Chelsea with Matic or Lukaku though!North Lower Neil said:
If true, we lost him on a free and signed him back for £300k?TelMc32 said:https://twitter.com/benransomsky/status/1481952580049715201?s=21
Chuks on his way back for £300k 👏🏻👏🏻

Happy, not happy if it's true, shocking from a business point of view.
Sign a forward for a fee and release him 6 months later in Schwartz.
Lose a forward for nothing and resign him for 300k 6 months later in Aneke.
Transfer committee is doing well.6 -
Where's the fun in that.Cafc43v3r said:Why didn't we just bung him an extra 200k to sign in the summer. Would of saved 100s of pages of moaning!
Brilliant news though although this has taken about six weeks to do, god knows why.0 -
Good to see the black box is working!
I'd welcome Chuks back, but why didn't we try harder to keep him in the summer.1 -
Chuks back would be good, albeit on a much higher wage. Send Leko back to Brum. For all his considerable talents he doesn't seem able to read the game. DJ has to learn to cross the ball more accurately. I think he can do that. Dunno about CBT!0

Daft statement there. Honestly...just stop talking now.Leuth said:
Dobson did indeed. But he literally called them lazy. I don't think DOUCHER is intentionally racist but there's a clear history of calling black players lazy and I don't think it remotely holds true in this case.Todds_right_hook said:
I had to read douches post 5 times before I got the link. Doucher didn't mention race once in the post. Out of 100 on the racism scale, the post scored 0.Leuth said:Clare and Inniss are mixed race. You did a big list of white and mixed race players who aren't lazy and two black ones who apparently are. Don't you see how bad that looks?
is it racist to say Dobson had a better game on Wednesday than dj or Leko? No!! Non story, time to move on5 -
forgot all about CBT - thank god for that !!! i don't think he is lazy by the waythewolfboy said:Chuks back would be good, albeit on a much higher wage. Send Leko back to Brum. I hope Chucks is on his way back.
I wonder if Defoe is going to be assistant manager or a coach. He could certainly help with finishing skills!1 -

Good signing. Not a player who will get in the way of Burstow's development, because Chuks can't play a lot of minutes. But still a player who will score goals for us.6
-
It looks quite bad that you see their colour as the issue with his post when in reality it's more about their displays. No insinuation was made regards their ethnic backgrounds being anything to do with it.Leuth said:Clare and Inniss are mixed race. You're the only one seeing colour here mate and I could argue that maybe you're the one coming across as racist for suggesting it is just because they're black?
Fortunately you have made it very clear you don't like racists.14 -
Exactly - Keith Jones was one of the most hard working players we ever had - same with Pritchard - doesn't enter my head what colour players are although i was conscious that somebiody would misread something into it - in actual fact, i think the accusation back in the day was that black players didn't perform so well in the cold weather, not that they were lazy so i think Leuth is harbouring some racist thoughts of his own here and needs to correct himself.Dazzler21 said:

Way I see it, if we sign 100 injury prone players we must be able to have a good XI out there at all time.4
-
Really hope people don’t whine when chuks can’t play 90 mins, then gets injured and is out for weeks. We’re getting our pants pulled down with this one.3
-
anyway .. as ever, welcome back Chuks and all the best during your time with us1
-
That’s it, pick on the white man.AllHailTheHen said:What a load of bollocks Leuth. Shall we balance it out for you by saying Kirk looks shit, lazy and disinterested too when he has played.15 -
Do you not think JJ and SG weighed all this up before parting with 300k? Or should we pass this info onto them?addick1956 said:
My question is, " why his Bowyer selling him and why , when he refused to sign for us in the Summer us he now returned or returning "?TelMc32 said:https://twitter.com/benransomsky/status/1481952580049715201?s=21
Chuks on his way back for £300k 👏🏻👏🏻
It matters really because something isn't right. He apparently had lots of options in the summer. Now he has only us.
Perhaps he hasn't got to do a medical with us ?And this is football, circumstances change rapidly, Chuks was in demand cos he scored loads of goals under limited minutes, so far this season in a higher level it’s not quite happening, we need a forward, they need some dosh, everyone’s happy (those relevant to the negotiations “).3 -
We don’t do medicals as such. All the player needs to do is be able to walk from his car to the door of the training ground in a straight line, and that’s him passed.addick1956 said:

He wanted a chance in the Championship and it didn’t work out. Not a problem for me.addick1956 said:

Glad he is coming home. Maybe he actually liked it here.4 -
Anekes early career was thrown up in the air when Birmingham signed Troy Deeney.
Also, due to people like Tracey Leaburn, people like coming back here i.e Cullen & Leko

Personally I’d have given Tracey the job over Jackson.king addick said:Anekes early career was thrown up in the air when Birmingham signed Troy Deeney.

This. Leko doesn't fit in to our system now and will get less game time if chucks comes back.thewolfboy said:Chuks back would be good, albeit on a much higher wage. Send Leko back to Brum. all very cosy, BUT we want players who still have the will to succeed and want to play for us, not ones who come back for a cuddle and a chat with Tracey, however nice that might be ((:>)king addick said:Anekes early career was thrown up in the air when Birmingham signed Troy Deeney.

Haha Jackson is a reason of course but no denying this club really cares about anyone who works here, in any of capacity.ricky_otto said:

I think its obvious he liked it here. But, he was out of contract, got a better offer at a higher level and wanted to test himself. Fair play. It didn't work out football wise, but I'm glad to see him back. COYA13
-
I mean, glad he is coming back as I have always rated him but that is woeful business to lose him for nothing, throw a season away for lack of striking options then sign him back for £300K 6m later.
Was Roddy the reason we lost him I wonder (probably not but a good conspiracy theory anyway).1 -
I do wonder what other, if any, 'decent' strikers were available for 300K .. anyway, there must be a good mutual liking between JJ and Chuks and that should be a very positive thing .. all the best Chuks0
-
I'm conflicted by this signing
On a positive - he's a good player, proven in League One and should settle straight in
On a negative - We know he's injury prone, we're paying 300k for a player got for free and then lost for free and we have doubts about whether he can play from the start
Is this really the influence of this stupid Black Box? it's said to have data on thousands of players and the best it could show us is to re-sign an old, injury prone player. What is this ownership and transfer committee up to... seems to be a complete shambles
Oh well welcome back Chuks and good luck... you'll likely need it!0
