    Two horse race then!!
Burnley much better GD so just have to match Leeds result.
Feel that Burnley have the harder fixture though.

And that red card won't help them either
Only Lowton, he’s not great anyway

A pitch invasion for staying up is a bit weird.

Cant have been many seasons of late where the title AND relegation battles have gone to the final day of the season... Got the fight for both Champions League and Europa League too

If they go on to win it will be the first time since the Premier League started that Everton have come back to win after being 2-0 down at half time.
"Frank, Everton are safe, you just be ecstatic"
"I am, but I'm even more pleased with the double Golfie"

Decent point for Burnley, and I would rather finish at home rather than away. I think they will stay up at Leeds expense.

The Title, Champions League, Europa League and Relegation

8 of the 10 final day games have something on the line
  • Just need Burnley and Man City to win on Sunday. Not very much to ask for.

I think doing it cos they've stayed up is a bit OTT but doing it after being 2 down is a bit more understandable.

Pundits are going a bit overboard saying how well Lampard has done, superb job to keep them up etc. They were 15th when he took over.........they're now 16th. If he was foreign they'd be slating him.

Can't deny that he's got the fans on board as it was pretty toxic when Benitez was there, but he hasn't really done a great job on the pitch at all. He's taken 20 points from 17 games.

Agreed. I've defended Lampard previously but he hasn't done a great job. I mean he's had a bit of an injury crisis (especially up top) plus they lost Digne in January. I think their January business was awful to be honest and really didn't help. Whether that was down to him or above I don't really know.

Pitch invasions are getting out of control. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to temporary fencing being put up for games like that for next year.
  • If Palace continue their ability of only ever finishing bottom half after something like 9-10yrs in PL then that is fine by me.

Hope Burnley go down so Pope 100% goes but think it will be Leeds.

Well, I'm no fan of Everton or Lampard and desperately wanted them to go down but was pleased to see Dele come on and affect a game like I know he can.  Didn't think I'd see that again tbh.  Hopefully he can turn his career round.

Surprised you’re so patient with him. Think the blokes a plum and a massive waste of talent. Harder working players have been crippled by injury yet this guy just mopes about in shit clothes with bad hair. His attitude stinks.

Cant disagree with you.  His attitude does stink.  Have said that all along.  Its pretty clear he's got too much going on off the pitch and Spurs had clearly had enough of it and rightly so.  3 managers couldn't be wrong, could they?  Just hope for his sake he turns it down because he's certainly got the talent.

He they was 16th with 2 games in hand when he took over.
They’re now 16th with 0 games in hand.

How, on gods earth is he being branded a success, which he is on talksport etc.

Getting the Arry Redknapp treatment. Probably got Arry putting in good words to his mates to make sure they write about how he is a brilliant manager.

To be fair I think the hype is because of the late momentum that has got them out of trouble. As for the comparison in places before and after he took over, Everton had 19 points from their first 20 games but were also on a run under Benitez of one win and a miserable 6 points from their previous 14 games. They were only heading in one direction under Benitez so the 20 points from 17 under Lampard is, relatively speaking, a massive improvement and has been the difference between them staying up and going down.

That’s a fair assessment.  But there is a big assumption that it wasn’t going to improve Benitez, I could of done he is a top manager.

I too want Frank to do well, but I think he’s had a lucky start in management without much to show for it.
