The Boogs gimmick did get over though.

Anyone see Collision? Twice they cut to the back stage before they were ready and you could see a member of the production staff counting them in.
They'll blame stuff like that on being in a different arena and potentially working with slightly different people, and unfortunately small things like that will get jumped on by people trying to show what despite everything AEW are the small fry show compared to big leagues WWE, but you can imagine if that happened on WWE the AEW crowd would lose their shit over it too.
    We are live pal!
And over in WCW, "Hulk Hogan, I'm coming for you...."

I have half the brain you do!!

Right here in the Silver Dome!!!!

  • Tell me when he is telling lies.
  • I guess this must be what it was like when Shakespeare and Wordsworth were around!

Him not being number 1 makes the list irrelevant .

You can make a massive argument for Reigns being number one.  But this guy being above MJF...

  • Mox is a bit of a workhorse though, and doesn't have bad matches per se

Because he draws the most money, which is the actual point of the business?

Or is it better to put on 5* matches in front of one man and his dog, or blade and go through lightning tubes in a barn?

    Wrong, thanks for playing.

So who does then, oh wise man?

But you don't think the guy that sold out an arena on the rumor he would be there or made 90k people change channel when it was announced he wouldn't be there draws either.
  • This sums up my view of a young bucks match. Swap the thigh slap for a blade job and you've got Mox.

I think the shine is off Punk. The Chicago crowd was pretty mixed towards the end of his run. Still a draw mind but not a sold out United Centre because he may be there level, a level very few have ever got to.

If Roman isn't a draw than who is? L A Knight?! Roman is the next Rock, i'll be stunned if he doesn't end up in Holywood.

The bucks have never meant less than they do now.

Roman had a million people turn over to smackdown when he turned up a few weeks ago.

WWE are going to have a serious CM Punk problem at survivor series unless than make it clear he will not be there before hand.

What they should do is a cold open for Smackdown with Paul holding a pixilated out belt.

"My name is Paul Heyman and I am standing here with the belt of the real worlds champion, my client will see you tomorrow in Chicago".

It's Punk the crowd go banana, it's Roman he gets even more heat.

    That's great!

With social media it wouldn't work as people would upload photos/videos of what Heyman is holding. So rather than pixelated (Hogan v Flair should have main evented WM 8 btw.  ;) ) Heyman can have it in a sack which hints more towards Punk returning.
  • Talking of Hollywood...

  • Jade Cargill has been confirmed by WWE. Unless Edge goes to AEW, this is one way traffic.

Debut at the rumble at about 15 with about 10 girls in the ring, massive Nash/Kane push and she wins it.

    That's what I would do, they won't.

The only major AEW stars to move to WWE is Cargill and Cody, I hardly call that one way traffic. Especially when you consider all of the ex-WWE's who have come to AEW over the last couple of years, Punk, Adam Cole, Danielson, Keith Lee, Swerve, Saraya, Ruby Soho, Claudio Castagnoli, Christian, the Hardy's, FTR, Miro, Andrade, Malakai Black....

This isn't on the same level as WWE hemorrhaging talent to WCW in 1994-1996.
  • The only major stars to leave are an EVP and the women that they pushed to the moon with an undefeated streak.  :D

Since Cody left only Cesaro has joined AEW. Somehow they've managed to use him even worse than WWE did. The tide has clearly changed, a few years ago it was the other way around.

Talents released by a company against their wills are excluded before anyone gets excited and Ali turning up on Dynamite in a few months time!

    Anyone seeing Eric Bischoff tonight?

They'll probably have her in a high profile mixed tag match at 'mania with 3 decent workers. Not sure they'll throw her straight into the main event with little build but it would be good if they did.

That can't wrestle and isn't over at all  :D

Jade for Sasha Banks seems a pretty big trade in one direction.

Sasha wrestles for New Japan. If she signs for AEW then that's a big coup for them, however, Sasha going to NJPW and Trinity to Impact speak volumes. They're both big losses to WWE. Interestingly they both left post the Cody move.

Claiming Jade isn't over is something is blatant fishing, try harder.

Yep, me and my brother will be there tonight

It's almost as good as Punk and Reigns don't draw.

    The 229 beer is decent.
  • I've done 3 meet and greets (Cornette and Regal) and that was by far the best one despite various bells ends shouting out. Such a down to earth and humble guy despite what he's achieved in the industry and the rewriting of history by the victors. Even if you didn't watch WCW when it was great, and boy was it great, the Billy and Chuck wedding was one of WWE's greatest ever segments.

The Joe Biden story was hilarious! Sadly without doing the impressions it losses all of it's humour.
  • First time I've done anything like that and really enjoyed it - Bischoff has a fantastic way of holding the audience's attention and had some great insights and stories. Think Kenny and the Inside The Ropes team do a cracking job - Kenny having to chat to the audience whilst Bischoff had to go to the loo was hilarious!

Cornette showing him how it's done! Everyone says the same about Russo.

It's very well organised. The lady at the merch table is dating Lionheart from NXT.
  • Looking forward to New Japan at The Copper Box next month, Will Ospreay vs Zack Sabre Jr will be a banger
  • I'll be there, 2 weeks away now. Main event will be good and it will be great to see Ishii and Tanahashii live even if they're passed their prime.
