I don't pay much attention to lists as they're just click bait, however, Cody main evented a wrestlemania and fued with Goldberg. Orange defended the third tier title against mid card wrestlers and main evented a single ppv.
A third tier title that he made so relevant it's now held by a top 3 wrestler on the same list?
At least he won a title instead of entering last in a Rumble and barely breaking a sweat, then choking in said main event... 😉
Cassidy’s main event match at All Out was really good. But that falls outside the June to June window, and I couldn’t really tell you much else he did in that timeframe. Didn’t even know he was on much of a streak until it got to a match worth caring about.
Whilst Rhodes missed half a year, what he did in the first half of 2023 was really high quality work IMO.
The crowd could have easily turned when they realised that he would be getting the Mania main event ahead of Sami Zayn.
They could have stopped caring about him altogether when he didn’t ‘finish the story’ after teasing winning the big one the way he did.
But he has found a way to still connect brilliantly with the audience and not have them lose faith one bit.
Doing that as a babyface in 2023 isn’t something I can imagine many being able to do as well as he has. Deserves a lot of credit.

Cody didn't have a 20 minute match with some guy no one outside of his own family knows...
Worrying that on one of your flag ship TV shows of the the year the best bits were a re make of a 1993 advert, redoing a 20 year old Wrestlemania finish, the crowd singing the other companies world champs music and injuring 3 of you biggest stars.
Oh and the ref not doing a 3 count when he should 🙄

Surprise they didn't release all of Hit Row. Swerve Strickland was a massive dropped ball by WWE IMO. Likewise i think Ali has everything bar the look/size. He cut some superb promos.
Why was Shelton released ten years or so ago? Incredible athlete.
Dolph leaving is similar to the Queen's death. I felt they would last forever. Another with everything IMO.
Boogs is a weird one as I thought he had a look that VKM would love.
Elias if they didn't stick him with the Ezekiel rubbish also had the size and look, I think he would have worked in the Wyatt Family, had the demented stare and the big beard to make it work.
Dolph I thought was released ages ago, he went off for ages to do stand up and stuff.
Emma I don't get why they brought her back
Aliyah they did nothing with
Shelton is old AF and the Hurt Business is no more, so that makes sense
Ali asked for his release ages ago seemed they finally got round to his emails
Top Dolla apparently caused nothing but problems and that's what got them released first time around

He is only a few years older than me, Lashley and Brock ;-) you cheeky young scamp.
Boogs needs to go away and learn a new hold and get a fresh paint of coat.
Shelton is only 2 years older than AJ styles. I thought the hurt business was great and splitting them was a mistake but how much money have they made from the merger so WTF do i know! Shelton is showing age now and younger better starts are on the roster already. I can't remember why he was released ten years ago though, anyone know why?

Did Booges come back from his injury?
I don't think he was cut for any reason as they had just stopped doing ECW and had nothing for him.
I think one of the problems the WWE have had, for about the last 20 years was they had too many people there for too long, no one ever left.
It's the hotest the product has been in years and part of that is they have some fresh talent and the biggest established stars are part time, making room for other people.
Either WWE need to pay people to sit at home or give them shorter contracts and don't be afraid of them leaving. The product benefits.
Booges was on the house show tour in April, he looked quite impressive and could work, awful gimmick.
Anyone see Collision? Twice they cut to the back stage before they were ready and you could see a member of the production staff counting them in.
They'll blame stuff like that on being in a different arena and potentially working with slightly different people, and unfortunately small things like that will get jumped on by people trying to show what despite everything AEW are the small fry show compared to big leagues WWE, but you can imagine if that happened on WWE the AEW crowd would lose their shit over it too.

Yes but it had a very low ceiling. That gimmick isn't going to main event Wrestlemania.
I noticed someone, who's name I recognised but would know if they were sat next to me, has been released from WWE after having a longer "run" than Hogan's hulkamania run!

We are live pal!
And over in WCW, "Hulk Hogan, I'm coming for you...."

Dana Brooke?
Yeah that's her, I know who she is but wouldn't be able to pick her out of a line up.

Fake tits blond hair spray tan is literally all I would look for, unfortunately she's a bit of a throwback to the Diva era IMO

Usos should also be right up there.
Watching Dynamite, Jade's big return has set up a big title rematch on... Rampage. She's WWE bound. Will be interesting if AEW sign Mercedes.
The writers strike is giving the WWE a bit of a rub isn't it!
I find it really interesting to see what goes into an indy promotion & how much their talents have to sacrifice for the company
Christ, she nearly killed Rhea Ripley with that banzai drop!

Tony really needs to get Shelton and Dolph and get them in the mid card to teach those that will listen how to work.
