    Everyone's Nemesis Axar.
  • There must be a stat somewhere of how many reviews Bairstow has wasted
    the english watson
  • Crawley can't review if he wanted to because Bairstow and Root wasted two anyway
dont you keep your review if its umpires call? Think he might have hit it tbh... v close to the bat
    That is correct

    Wasted that one.
We keep the review at least

I thought it was rational and mature of him not to waste the review when he was out whereas others have.........

Did he have the option to? Surely he would have just walked if he didn't? It looked like he was discussing with Stokes whether to review or not as walked with the timer was up?
  • Well, this is going swimmingly.
  • Looks like the toss has gone against us again.....

I wouldn't fancy batting first or second vs this attack on that pitch!
  • England’s cunning plan is to be all out In 2 sessions so that we can bowl under the lights in the seam friendly conditions...
  • I'll be honest, I'm not confident the tail will last long....

  • If i was a gambling man, my money would be on India to win this smiley:
  • Oh dear lord, as Addicks haven't we suffered enough this week?
  • Apart from Crawley we're 28-5.
  • Bloody hell England, at least make a fist of it.

One and a half sessions wasn't the plan though
  • Why has Archer dressed his arm as a tyre?
  • Archer out to bat in the 29th over  :#
  • Noticeably, the balls that have dismissed our players haven't done much except Root's
  • The pitch is already spinning like a top and England have selected one specialist spinner .. the Indians have obviously rigged (and will continue to rig) the pitches to help, to put it mildly, spin bowling .. on the positive side, it's nice to see real, live spectators in the stadium even though corona virus preventative measures are seriously lacking
  • Embarrassing last night, embarrassing today. What sporting joy.

  • Indian spinners:

    24.2-6-52-6

    Good job we have Leach
  • Well, it's not easy playing under the lights

You're right.  Without him, our batting would look really fragile.

That is down to the skill of the Bowlers to dupe the batsman.

Sad to see Ben Stokes batting like Jimmy Anderson and Bowling like Graham Gooch.

And another one bites the dust...

The point I was trying to make is that we have totally misread this pitch and gone in with just one frontline spinner and four seamers whereas India have three spinner and just two seamers
  • Bowyer to manage the England cricket team and Chris Silverwood to take over at The Valley anyone? Can't get worse.
  • Ah. I see the 1st test was just a blip!
  • 98-8. Need to make three figures, exert some scoreboard pressure.
  • 100 up, Broad to kick on from here.

Goodness knows how ENG managed to do what they did in the 1st Test!
