Well done the museum for a great idea and execution. The wall on Floyd Road until quite recently had a mural depicting the fight to stop demolition of houses in the area.
It still does - this is the wall on the corner where Sam Bartram's shop was - but it's looking a bit tatty now. Carol Kenna, one of the artists behind it, is still around and still lives in Charlton.
That mural has lasted amazingly well really, considering it's been left basically untouched (I assume) for over 40 years
yes, and especially considering another one done around that time a few streets away, in Rathmore Road, was painted over long, long ago.

It’s not the valley club, that was where the east stand turnstiles are at the back of the covered end. I think these were offices, remember the old stand was very unsophisticated and did not have corporate boxes and offices.
I know this is shameful on my part but I’m sure the train enthusiasts here can put me right , do all bridges under/over railway lines have a number on them (574 in this case) is there a particular theme to em as in differing numbers for over the line or under etc .
They do indeed, these are important in identifying structures in cases like road vehicle collisions ("bridge bashes" as they are known in the trade).
Bang on. I'm a driver for the much loved Southeastern network. Bridges are numbered and tunnels have names for identification in the event of an incident. I bored myself then....😁
I had to pick up my cats meds from the vet today. As the vet is by the Thames Barrier I decided to do my exercise by walking there from Plumstead via the Valley and the mural. It’s lovely. Many thanks to all involved in bringing it to fruition.
Used to love that vets Well when it was a pub anyway Straight out of work on a fri straight in there then to the Westminster arms then often on to the venue if not the kebab by the ferry Lovely times
Ed. Hadn't seen all the other posts, seems they have popped up all over. Look good, although in the above it would have looked better had they coloured the rest of the bricks black as they remain quite dirty.

The benches survived and were redone last summer.
edit: the Floyd Road mural is 44 years old (!) https://www.forwallswithtongues.org.uk/projects/gmw-floyd-road-1976/
Can you get that image of the mural and East Terrace
I tried to save it on my phone but with no luck.
Will tweet some of these images and links later.
But that's why we spent time and effort upfront getting permission and agreement from Eddie at Network Rail
Wooden, single storey and painted black … probably with creosote.
Luxury!
Modern players will have better fitness facilities in their garages...
