I love these murals that have been popping up around stations. I was taken aback by my local one as Mrs Plum and I enjoy a walk to Manor House Gardens and especially the birds that inhabit the pond there and it's surrounds, and at the western end of the pond there are a couple of Willow trees in which about 6 Herons live. They are simply beautiful, usually perched up high, or darting their long beaks into the water, or walking around on their spindly legs. When they take off and fly it is an awesome sight. Anyway the mural at Lee Station has, you guessed it, a Heron as it's centrepiece, maybe the artist(s) are as fond of Manor House Gardens and/or Herons as we are.
Absolutely awsome Wonderful touch with the seb 1076 He would have loved this piece Great to see the museum fund this magnificent piece instead of usually wasting the hard earned funds on range rovers!🤣 Once again awsome cant wait to see it
It looks incredible on a sunny evening as the red just catches the sun nicely. Brilliant work by Ben and the museum team, also Network Rail who gave it their full backing.

We need those range rovers to move all the donations around!
Actually, you lot funded this and so did Seb. No money came from the club.
The shirt auction went a long way to covering the total cost and Seb bought one of the shirts. So the people who donate stuff and the people who buy stuff, you made this possible.

One busybody from the residents association had a moan to the artist saying it shouldn't have been done but he told her 30 other people said they liked it.
Took a long time but nice feeling when a long term project comes off. It was actually Eddie, our contact at Network Rail, who suggested "Seb 1076". Genius idea as so simple. So pleased to been able to add it last minute.
