Clean sheet a big plus. Midfield looking solid. Happy with a point.

Happy with that, midfield looked so much better, sign Taylor, Cullen and get Field fit. We do need more players and ESI that's over to you! We can stay up and build for next season's play off push.
Agree. And totally forgot Gallagher wasn’t playing

Defensively we looked a lot better tonight, Cullen being back is no coincidence, apart from a header you couldn't say Fulham created any clear cut chances.

Bowyer signed up, players coming back fit, clean sheet, just need a couple of solid signings like Green in and I think we'll be fine
  • And that's why Cullen is much more of an important player to us the Gallagher.

Though boy would I have loved Gallagher in that midfield as well today. Morgan did well, but feel like would could have really given it a go if we had him.

Don't forget, tonight's game was the, erm .... "free hit".

Great point against a far better technical side...what a difference taylor and Williams make when their in the side. ..
  • Amazing what we can achieve with a Midfield!!!

An important observation ... loved Conor but Cullen is the man.

Cullen makes such a difference. Felt like Pratley was everywhere but in a less rash fashion thanks to Cullen's presence.
Not convinced Oztumer will ever be more than a squad player but obviously can't expect too much after his time out.
Pearce made one fantastic block, usual idiotic tug of the shirt and gives me the shits in possession.
    Both full backs solid.
Doughty impressive but maybe had he been on the left instead his final ball might have been better.
    Morgan not really in it.
Hemed worked very hard, better second half but not a lot came off.

Unbeaten in 5 out matches 5 against Leeds, wba and Fulham you have to be pleased with that

A good point maintains our great record against the top 6, a clean sheet, players back from injury and Bowyer signing a new deal. Can’t be bad.

First clean sheet in 17. Something to build on and we should be full of confidence against Barnsley who just got spanked 3-0 at home.

As said repeatedly before: we will be fine when the better players are back and what do you know? Clean sheet against a team going for the automatics.

Cullen, Williams, Taylor were all a class above.

It's fab. But we now need the six pointers.

Always want to win, and I feel if the returning players already had 2 or 3 matches under their belts', then we might have done. But in the circumstances I'll definitely take a point.

It's been a long time coming, and these words could still come back to bite me on the arse, but I think tonight was the turning point.

Based on nothing but gut instinct and an optimistic disposition, I expect two or three players will arrive by the end of the of the window and we will be in a much much stronger position by Barnsley.

    Phew.
  • Definitely pleased with a point and a clean sheet against a very decent side. With LB signed up today has shaped up to hopefully being the turning point.

And I don’t give a shit what Moyes says to Cullen, he needs to sign for us and become a Charlton legend. They will always sign someone ‘bigger and better’. Stay with us Josh and become a club captain.
Agreed, would be huge if we could snag him and a player of similar quality to run that midfield together next season, Mowatt?

great point and the most important highlight Bowyer signed up. Happy days, I can face relegation now

Clean sheet is the best thing about that, we needed one of those desperately. Get at least 3 in and I think we will just about be ok.

Nervous but excited at the same time. Interesting next week and a half!

How do we know we’ve got the right manager? Because against West Brom, Leeds and Fulham so far this season, we played five games in the league and we are unbeaten. Bowyer instils a belief in those players that any other manager wouldn’t be able to do. Proud supporter tonight

I would be happy with that tonight. COYA
Hats off to you, @Pedro45, sir ....... accurate score forecast, almost an hour before kick off.

  • Drawn twice with WBA & Fulham, its the lower teams we've struggled against!

Two players I think need mentioning, Pratley, without him in defensive midfield, we would not have kept a clean sheet and Otzumer, who never stop running and he cannot be match fit yet. Overall a good defensive performance, now we have started to steady the ship, lets get a few new bodies in, get injured players fitter and go for movement up the league

Perform better when we're up against it rather than having to take the game to the opposition. Falls in line with the possession stat.

Unbeaten against top 5 so far this season.

    West Brom away 2-2
    West Brom home 2-2
    Leeds home 1-0 win
    Fulham away 2-2
    Fulham home 0-0
    Forest home 1-1
    Brentford home 1-0 win
  • Second best for most of the match but on this occasion, who cares?

Every player out there gave 100% tonight. The effort was immense and limiting a very good Fulham side to just a few half chances (and one golden one) was no mean feat.

As others have said, what a huge difference having Cullen starting and Taylor and Williams fit to come on for cameo performances made.

I'll just add I thought Oztumer had a good game - not sure why he's getting criticism. Some really good passes and always involved. If he can stay fit, he'll add something to the team on tonight's showing.

A good performance today. Josh Cullen made so much difference. Good to see Taylor, Cullen and Williams out there together. Things are looking up.

What with Lee Bowyer's contract renewal, it's been a good day.
