Going to be a busy week ahead. Looking forward to it, and it being over so we can finally focus on enjoying the rest of the season, starting with a win on Saturday.
First up seems to be Idah coming in to replace Leko. People believe Green was the replacement, but he’s not. Green was a target previously and someone we wanted to add to the squad anyway. Allows us to play with width/wingers too if we want to in some games.
Expecting Idah plus two midfielders and a centre-back, hopefully one more too. Don’t rule out Maddison either, that’s something that we still aim to do.
Just think, by this time next week, we would know the squad for the rest of the season and be further away from Barnsley having just won in front of His Excellency with The Valley baaancing.
From what I gather from the Atlanta United fan page, Pogba was a very solid player for them last season. Featured in some big games for them (they won trophies in both). I have not read one negative comment about him and when the news broke that his option for 2020 had been declined, the majority of fans seemed very disappointed to see him leave. As I stated, he wasn't the first name on the team sheet due to two club heroes ahead of him, but he seemed to be a very dependable squad player who rose above expectations when he started games.
He can play both CB and LB which considering Lewis Page's situation, might be a good shout, at least until the end of the season.
While many people, including myself remain very critical of MLS, if there is one team who consistently churns out entertaining football, along with making all the right decisions, it is Atlanta United. I'm not Gallen or Southall so God knows if signing him will be the best call, but he is indeed worth the look we are giving him
I'm surprised no European teams have signed Josef Martinez from them!!... 72-goals in 80-games???
He is soooo fun to watch!! Has a more annoying penalty run-up than Lyle
Mourinho said last week that he doesn't feel Parrott is ready, so i'd guess a loan move is almost certain.
Also Jose is not exactly renowned for playing youngsters, and given that Spurs are only in the hunt for 2 trophies (and only 1 of them is realistic) he's never going to put his faith in a 17 year old kid.
Parrott would be decent, well thought of and certainly could be a pleasant surprise like Gallagher. Idah and him as the two loans in is a decent start
A lot of Spurs wanted him to start yesterday so he definitely has something about him
It would be one or the other unless Taylor is on his way. Because Gallagher was a great success at 19, that doesn't mean a 17 and 18 year old, who would be kicked in the air in the Championship would emulate the success of Conor.
The bulk of our deals need to be for defenders. Improvement to results will be severely limited if we have to rely on the current crop of blunderers. Without 2 quality CHs we’ll need at least 2 goals to be in with a shout of drawing games. All improvements will be welcome obviously but focus has to be on the greater deficiency
Don’t rate him that highly then. Don’t we normally put players in the Marriott
I think that’s possibly due to being on trial, if it’s a new signing waiting to rent or buy somewhere then I can see the reason why they’d spend more to keep them happy, better facilities etc, for trials, this makes more financial sense and only minutes from sparrows lane, I might be wrong but that’s how I’d play it, that’s if we do actually pay for trialists accommodation, it is a job interview after all?
I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott.
I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott, I hear we are after Troy Parrott.

I like him already.
Absolute class.
happy to see we’re in the market for a centre back though.

Good ploy to set the standard before any contract negotiation!
This would be absolutely brilliant. But I really can't see Parrott and Idah both signing.

Yes, forgot the Mourinho factor!
