    Ass Ventura: Crack Detective

Just woke up and came on here to get up to speed with all of the days transfer dealings (which didn't take long). Can we please get back on topic FFS.

Just so I can avoid all of these B-movies, what site are on again, as I said just so I can avoid them....of course.

Might just stay in bed for another half-hour....or five minutes!

I hope we are not going to wait until the end of the month before deciding to go for someone else in case he goes to somebody else

Wouldn't say we need a left back urgently but it is something we will need going forward eventually, Page isn't championship standard imo and made of glass, Purrington hasn't looked up to much in the step up, saw a stat the other day that he is in the top5 for worst passing accuracy and I see Doughty further forward although he can do a job there

    Edit: sorry top7

This is amazing for someone that passes back to Pearce/Sarr as a default
It's part of the reason why Sarr has such a hard time playing on the left of a back three, the only two players he usually has to pass to are Pearce and Purrington, especially with JFC and Cullen out, the two midfielders who will pick up the ball from defense.

Hopefully we've settled into a pattern where Doughty is the LWB and Purrington the LB.

The transfer window gives me butterflies. Seriously. And they've got worse since Gallagher left.
We did get rid of some dead wood, Kayal & Ledley.

I assume you mean left wing/ midfield for Doughty.  I think we’ve only played an orthodox 442 once in the last 18 months - QPR away ?

Don’t want to trawl and fish through 130 odd posts, are there any relevant snippets and should we start a Bitesize January Transfer Window Thread?
Good job we are not back in the 1990's when all you had was clubcall & Peter Borrows telling you (yet again) that there would be some sensational transfer news coming up......but first you have to listen to an interview with Gary Nelson about his picture framing business.
Ha Ha, yes, I remember exactly that.

I was drunk one night listening to Clubcall in bed and thought I'd replaced the receiver correctly but hadn't. When my BT bill came in it was astronomical, can't remember how much but I think about £700.

Thankfully BT saw the light and took it off, Phew!
Did the same thing (not drunk though), had to try and explain to my husband why the phone bill was about £400. Again BT saw the light and charged a flat fee :)

says us and Sunderland are battling for Greg Docherty on loan. Know nothing about him but a midfielder apparently.

Even worse - listening to Peter Burrowes sober.

Docherty already turned down Peterborough hoping for a championship move so sounds like we have a good chance. Have seen a Sunderland account tweet that they’re hoping to wrap it up in the next few days though.

There's a free agent available - released by Bromley last May.

I'm starting to think Frank Nouble would be a result.
  • Pawel Abbott and Simon Church rumoured to be rejoining along with Gary Doherty.

    Don’t  I get any accolade or a promote as I suggested it @cabbles ?

I really hope that Midfielder wasn't Mowatt or Maddison that we were penny pinching over, 52k a year extra is hardly crazy money for a proper player

    Kean Bryan from Sheffield United.
He does not seem too kean, he has not played in 18 months.
    Hardly an original idea
