We are either gonna look back one day and laugh that we ever worried, or we are gonna look back to stuff like this and feel sick to our stomachs, there is no in-between.
After his recent activity I am firmly in the glass half full camp and keeping the faith.
I love how active and engaging he is with us
Suit and trainers = train wa***r
Is that a fancy box of Ferrero Rocher on the table?

We dont need to know every detail from behind the scenes, just that progress is actually happening.... theres a huge difference.
Him tweeting that he is over in the middle east for talks with our majority shareholder is his way of show us that there is stuff going on behind the scenes in my opinion and that he's not sitting around twiddling his thumbs.
Yeah fair play, some of these talks actually crossing the line would take the edge off of the anxiety. You can be meeting with 20 players which sounds great on paper but there needs to be some of them that actually come off. The way the Bowyer saga is being handled doesn't help. Priority number 1 with someone who doesn't want to be anywhere else and we are now 15 days in.
Ignore me anyway, I suffer from real life anxiety and depression and am having a slightly manic day mentally.. juts gonna sign off and come back after the window shuts x
So we know of contacts for Taylor and Bowyer declined or not signed yet and a contract for Maddison not agreed. Is this because the contracts are not good enough or the people involved are greedy or maybe a bit of both. Too early to judge but a few more and a pattern could be emerging that might be a big problem. Would be nice to see some go the right way to even things up.
Bowyers first look at his deal was due to be Saturday night/Monday and Maddison bid was accepted Monday. It’s been 2 days ffs. I think everyone is a little bit hungover from RD and are acting like psycho girlfriends who’ve got trust issues. Chill out, it’s been 2 days.
MS: Your Excellency, As-salam alaykom HE: Wa Alykom As-salam MS: Sabahu Al-khair HE: Sabahu An-Nur MS: I bring you greetings from the glorious and ancient River Thames and, of course, from the Great Valley of Hope, which rests in the seventh section of London's "SE" quadrant. HE: Thanks MS And I bring you greetings from the Lane of Sparrows, that glorious, unbesmirched patchwork of verdant greensward, wherein Your Excellency's future legacy is nurtured and made good by the team of teachers therein assembled to deliver Your Excellency's ambitious master plan. HE: Thanks, but... MS: And I bring you greetings from Bartrams, the focal point of... HE: Matt, stop. Enough. Bowyer's contract. MS: We're in discussion. HE Go and get it sorted. MS: Right. Anything else? HE: Yes there is one more thing MS: Anything, Your Excellency. Just tell me what it is you want, and I will make it happen. HE: Buy some bloody socks.
I am not enjoying reading some of the totally unnecessary piss taking and disrespect going on here towards MS.......this is someone we (as a fan base), are trying to make a decent and long term friendly relationship with! This forum is sadly still shot through with distrust and cynicism from the Duchatalet era, which is leading to stupid piss taking about no socks, choice of wallpaper, office looking like a porno set and what is probably a perfectly normal and acceptable table setting in their country......and yet here we are taking the piss. Sorry to say, but some of you need a good kick up the arse!

Just a guess as I am totally NOT 'in the know' .. so .. Southall has absolutely no say in financial matters, he is just a glorified PR man. The situation whereby there is uncertainty about Bowyer's deal, the signing of Madison and other 'unreported' deals and wheels involve money, lots of it. Only the ESI kingpins can decide on to whom and where the money goes. Southall or whoever manages the cash in SE7 is beholden to get clearance from the middle east before buying the proverbial box of paper clips. Perhaps the ESI men like to speak to their 'front man' Southall only face to face as they mistrust electronic communications media which can be tapped and/or misreported, hence Southall's to and froing to Arabia, hence the time taken to either yay or nay transfers, contracts et al .. just a guess

Its not just you mate, think even the glass full types are getting a little twitchy. We still need players in, our manager signed up and make no doubt about it we are in a relegation fight. On top of coming off the back of a wrongen owner, its natural that people are impatient at times.

Both Matt and Tahnoon were interviewed for local TV today, maybe that had been arranged beforehand and the visit wasn't specifically about transfer business and money?

ahhh .. the plot (or theory) thickens lol .. so what else was the TV spiel about ? .. more plans and schemes ? .. dunno as I missed the interviews
Again its not about just sanctioning it, as I said Matt seems very hands on and the sort of person who wants to deal with things personally.
I just don't expect anything done whilst he is out the country
The lord has spoken everyone, close thread!
Laughable mate, he isn't the one rubber stamping the transfers. If he did I am sure Gallen and Co can get things done with him abroad.
Not saying there will be any signings, but you cant dismiss it unless everyone Boywer, Gallen and Southall all away. 21st Century and all that, even then it could happen lol

No idea how it works in the middle east but in China I know most business people prefer meeting face to face.
I used to fly half way across China for almost monthly management meetings along with 15 or so others, video calls would have saved the boss a small fortune but that's just not how he wanted to do things.
Again its not about just sanctioning it, as I said Matt seems very hands on and the sort of person who wants to deal with things personally.

Little bit confrontational there.
I only said that Matt seems very hands on to me and I dont see any business being done today if he is out the country.
Other people have made similar points but you haven't picked them up on it have u.

To say my comment is laughable is very OTT
Come on Paulie, you know me enough to know it wouldn't be confrontational. A slight dig and a bit of a joke really but its not OTT, just opinions really. This thread goes round in circles, so not really going to comment on everyone. Also as we speak occasionally on FB/ Here I didn't think you would take it to heart.
Poor Paulie might be the most sensitive soul on the internet.
Actually think I responded better than I usually do, and was polite in my response.
Just wondering why someone who claims to be a friend, talks to me on Facebook needed to be so confrontational on here with that response when I was just stating my opinion, like so many others have

Literally took the words out of my mouth, stop being so serious. It was a joke and kind of at your expense but nothing personal...
I'll leave it there as this thread is bad enough as it is.
