Great win. Tactically superb from Bowyer. Cullen looks very assured, Taylor class, holds the ball up well. Good defensively from the team when we under a bit of pressure in the 2nd half from 50 - 70 mins.
Aribo comfortable on the ball. Pleased Grant got a goal. Really not much else to say other than a great away day and win. Top marks all round
Only thing is we were a bit wasteful in the final third in the first half.

When you think of Fosu and Clarke still to come back I honestly think if Lyle Taylor stays fit he can score 20 goals or more this season.3

Watched on iFollow in Riyadh but unfortunately with BBC Radio West Yorkshire commentary!
According to them, Bradford were the better team and we had two players called LapslEYE and Haribo playing for us! 😡
Great all round performance and looked very good on the counter-attack. Initially thought midfield was going to be a bit 'lightweight' but Cullen really bossed it. A little disappointed in Reeves, but then again I always am. Some of the possession and one touch stuff was a pleasure to watch.
Grant and Taylor up top really starting to look like a partnership that's gelling. Decision making in the first half at times a little off, but the longer they 'perform' together, the better their joint understanding will get.

I don't get to see them that often so I am really comparing against perception and expectation but today I thought we were excellent.
This team has bowyer running the middle of it, talented, determined and a little bit niggly. I love it.
As they say it isn't the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. No chance of us getting bullied today, that hasn't always been the case.
2 outstanding finishes.
The only downside for me is that the front 2 became quite isolated in the second half as reeves and ward tiered.4 -

Some bald important facts are worth emphasising.
We were the away side, against a group who despite a poor start, with a new manager were still motivated, backed by a generous home support. Yet we took the early lead, withstood the reaction, ground out the win with the inevitable second but also had something spare in the tank, and significantly we kept a clean sheet.
From any kind of objective point of view that was a very good away win for Charlton Athletic today, and in my view it was ultimately deserved because as individuals we had the better players overall.
Bradford as the home side had more zip and commitment. Our approach was less like the all action second half approach last week against Wycombe, but almost a methodical concentration, we thought our way towards those three points more than battled for them.
Satisfying in the extreme, or course with caveats and comment here and there, still improvements that can certainly be made, but the team today demonstrated that we have a good underlying structure to work from.
Steer made a nice sharp save even before Grant scored, and to my mind it was a very proper goal, a classic cut in and rifle into the net. fantastic assist by Cullen. Grant continues to improve and I thought was harshly booked.
Aribo was also booked for diving when he had a very good case for a penalty in the second half. Aribo all gangles and angles, nearly losing a retained ball yet still difficult for the opposition.
Taylor always seems to get better as games progress which is an interesting characteristic, his goal was nicely taken but he was criminally unchallenged as he eyed up his chance, but so competitive throughout. This is a good spell of form from Taylor.
I didn't think Ward added very much, there was an odd moment or two, but he needs game and fitness time, and Reeves wasn't ever afraid to get involved, but is it me, or does he always seem to need one touch too many? The quicker Reeves moves the ball along, the better his passes tend to be, and less chance of being caught in possession in dangerous areas.
Cullen was strong and effective for most of the game and was close to being our best player. Solly was Solly as usual, and did well apart from one occasion when he was sold a dummy first half. Lewis Page had an excellent game and is turning out better than I expected following the luxury times of Jay da Silva.
Bauer had a competitive time, especially once Bradford brought on a BFG of their own to go up against him, however for me the clear man of the match was Jason Pearce. He is a leader and a winner supreme, and although i don't think he is as good, he has a touch of the Simon Webster about him which I mean as a genuine compliment.
Despite their varying lengths of time on the pitch I thought all three subs did well too. Maybe Igor wants it a bit now, because like at Southend his vignette was very hopeful.
Tonight we are only two points behind target, the wins at Bradford and Southend having injected fresh hope after a very meh start where we struggled to name a full bench.
The objective is to train hard, get fitter, and make sure Plymouth face a big challenge next week at the Valley.

Great result and a decent performance. We defended very well, though for rather longer than I'd have liked. Bauer was oustanding, I don't think he missed a header all afternoon - and there were a lot.
Goals taken very well. Taylor in particular looked very assured. Ward looked ok but perhaps a little rusty.2 -

If we continue winning 50%, drawing 25% and losing 25%, which is our pace for the season, we would finish 23-11-12, roughly. 80 points. That's an easy top 6 finish. Would have been 3rd to 6th every season this decade. Top 2 would require much, much more.0

I don't go to away games (well hardly). I don't see a Wigan or Blackburn that are going to walk it this year. We will definetly get in the play offs at least and depending on how Sunderland, Barnsley, Peterborugh and Portsmouth do will depend on where we will finish. It takes time for teams to gell and performances are going to drop in games etc. However, I can see THIS team getting better and better as the season goes on. It has got the right mix (ingredients) about it and Bowyer has bought in the right players within his budget who can mix it. A lot of them have got Championship experience with some youngsters in there and know how to handle themselves when the going gets tough (we need to watch those yellow cards). That said, when suspensions are due, we have other players that can come in and do a good job whilst those are out. I honestly can't remember us having a striking pair that scored regularly at the start of the season. Taylor 5 leagues in 8, Grant 3 goals in 8 and they are a partnership that are developing. Taylor's record is 23 goals in the last 44 games?? He is on for 20 plus goals this season which is promotion form. On the day we played Sunderland away I regretted getting a season ticket this year and thought we would struggle to stay up. Now I am looking the other way. 2 leagues we have lost is it so far? To a poor Sunderland team with a limited and jaded team and a dodgy (well non penalty) against Peterborough. Thank you Bowyer and Charlton for making me one happy fan again. Sod off Roland.6
