Great motivation for the others to band together and stay up now, can turn this negative into a huge positive
Or say “bollocks to it, this club is an absolute joke”

Still need to show other clubs that they're worth taking on when they leave us though

Selfish cnut and a coward. You leave a club in the position its in that no other club can touch with the crap were dealing with and you just walk away! Money grabbing, no integrity, no respect and no honour... How dare you kiss our badge and say all the right things and then do this... You're no better than Southall. Forgive?? Never... Forget?? Never.

Is it fair to say that he's off your Christmas card list?
The first time I met Taylor I thought he was a nice bloke.
but the first time I saw Southall and heard his first interview I thought he was a dishonest rat conman!!
    Sure you did.

but as always there seems to be a lot of knee Jerk
negativity on this forum to quickly ?

i think we should give ESI and HE a chance to show their true hand or worth, till at least the end of this month.
Lee Bowyer must have his new contract in place by then, or there will be serious concern.

Has Roland Rat actually been paid any money at all
    as yet for anything?

  • Can we assume he's off our wage bill, along with Solly and Davis?
  • If we were mid table with nothing to play for it wouldn't have been so bad. But seeing as we are in a relegation battle he really is an arsehole. Just a thought if we were already safe could we be accused of not playing our best side?
  • I put my hands up once to confirm I had been conned by Southall and again to admit that Nimer clearly was not in a position to take us forward.

I don't understand like Paulie says why we cannot just admit when we've been wrong?

If we was safe in table...and we had youth players who might be up for some experience.

All the best players would rugby tackle bowyer to the floor shouting in his face...

"Don't play us for the rest of this season! I don't care about the fact that we get paid...we might get an injured!"

Obviously. It's the norm and it's only fair.

Actually, wait. They still might do that even if we was in the relegation zone. I'm confused..

Agreed, I was wrong to trust these bastards

Unless its Varney taking over then I'll still have a lot of doubt about whoever comes in

It amazes me how many people apparently knew Southall was dishonest from the start lol.

I mean even this 1968cafc says he knew he was a dishonest rat conman from his first interview, yet 1st February he said he was doing a good job

Can we not just be honest and admit we fell for the bullshit MS fed us

I tried to tell you all, but my comment was deleted by the anti-free speech elitist moderators because it was in contravention of the CL "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all" policy.

  • That exists in my head around midnight on a Saturday.
  • I'm not sure I stuck up for them , I'm sure I said we'd have the skintist ostracised sheikh from UAE or something , do some digging , did i fall for it , I must have said something nice cos everyone else was so pathetically gushing that peer pressure may have made me join in .

  • With the Spivs I was optimistic.
With Roland I was cautiously optimistic
    With ESI I was cautious
With the next lot I'll be sceptical, unless it's Varney then I'll revert to cautiously optimistic
  • Never took to Southall - far too keen on social media for my liking and came across like a used car salesman. Didn't expect him to be quite so bad.

You're not lying, not one positive word about Southall from you.
  • I thought we were going to be bathing in champagne and being fed chips before every game, which was going to be a well-financed masterclass in style, grace and ruthless efficiency.
  • Hands up - I massively fell for the Southall love-in at the beginning. Pictures taken with mates in front of the Sam Bartram statue with black and white scarves laid to rest, in the Swan at about 11am etc.

And from what what I remember of that day - there were thousands in the same boat.
  • Hindsight is a lovely thing.

When Southall first spoke we all listened intently.  We were so desperate to hear some good news...and there it was.  A guy saying what we wanted to hear and His Excellency who would clearly plunder cash into us.  Even the name ESI was exciting - these people had done a bit of research and wanted to get the fans onside.

It didn't take too long for the cracks to start to show though.  Looking back there were various things said that raised eyebrows but with the benefit of hindsight we could probably have seen warning signs earlier.  Obviously there are those in the "I knew he was dirty from day one" camp but the majority were just excited.  "It can't possibly be any worse than Roland so bring it on."

Hindsight eh!  what a wonderful thing.

Well we are in a bit of a pickle right now but "seemingly" have a couple of potential investors vying for our attention so i'd like to think we have a future as a club and, who knows, could it be a bright one?  Or would we all settle for just a bit of stability for now and an owner with both a bit of cash and a proper plan!

    Well Dear old Dazzler 21
I did meet Lyle Taylor twice at the valley with my son
and I was certain the Arab connection would pay up
but I was wrong about ESI they were Bad news from the start so you were right 👍👍👍

Wouldn’t have lasted long though with it being 14 chips.

Think you've outdone any "dishonesty" by stalking the bloke and finding this post tbh, mate

Personally I see Taylor going the same way as Ricky Holmes. Journeyman career in the lower leagues until he had a half decent time at AFC Wimbledon (like Holmes with Northampton), get a move to someone with a bigger contract (Holmes & Sheff Utd) and frankly don't see him repeating the form of his life for one reason or another. Holmes was because of injuries Taylor will be lack of ability if a Premier League club come in for him. Even then to succeed at another Championship club with his ego, Taylor will need to hit the ground running, he was a journeyman lower league striker for a reason when he joined us, just my gut feel but for me he's peaked with us and think he'll be back in League One probably twelve months after wherever he ends up.

Its hardly stalking lol, he made a comment saying he always thought MS was a conman, so I wanted to see what he actually thought back in Jan/feb, as unlike on twitter were posts can be deleted they cant be on here.

And guess what, he was found out to be full of shit a bit like MS, like I  said,  we were all taking in by him and I admit I was, I dont see the desperation in coming out now saying oh I never believed it really, I was never taken in by his rubbish, your only lying to yourself lol

Holmes didnt go on strike before he left though.

Yeah I didn't mean in terms of going on strike or not. More that both were journeymen from the lower leagues until they joined and peaked with us.
  • Can I admit I was wrong?

Well partially anyway. I still feel that it is his right to leave when his contract expires, I completely understand why he would even though I'm disappointed that he is leaving. But I am feeling more angry that he won't play up until his contract runs out. Even if you take all the emotional side out like leaving teammates, staff and fans that he still has a contractual obligation to fill. If he refuses then surely it's a breach of contract and I hope we take him to court as it potentially isn't just lost wages it's maybe much bigger than that given what is at stake over those few games.

There you go CL, not often I'll admit I was wrong (even partially).
