Also close to another signing and hopefully know more today, so could potentially go through tomorrow..?

    https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-land-arsenal-youngster-on-loan-and-lee-bowyer-reveals-another-deal-is-close/

With seven players coming back from injury, this might not be such a bad season as Bowyer is getting in some good loanees

As I've said already though, just need to ensure and hope that the returning injuries arent going to be replacing anyone getting injured

Realistically we will get further injuries, hopefully they'll happen when we have some cover back

Very true. I said after the Sunderland game that realistically we just have to try and battle through to October and pick up as many points as we can.

Once the likes of Fosu, Clarke, Reeves and Igor are all back we can then make a charge up the table

Whilst Alan Nixon gets some things right, it’s also important to remember he writes for the Sun

Seems like a guess from Nixon at most.

Bauer going wouldn't surprise me in the least

shows how excited everyone is. Announced twenty minutes ago and only three comment and he hasn't even got his own thread.

I would have posted to say, the bench is finally getting full, but have been out on the fire engine.

Surely no point in loaning him, unless we're that desperate to save on 4 months wages.

If we really want rid, then we might as well keep him until January and then sell him.

    what is the twitter comment?

Alan Nixon (Sun journalist, usually reliable) implying that the Arsenal loanee is a replacement for Bauer who could head out on loan shortly with a view to it becoming a permanent move away in January.

Alan Nixon from the Sun hinting that Bauer could be loaned out now with the intention of him being bought in January with the Arsenal loanee coming in.

Losing Bauer is a huge mistake especially by loaning him a division higher, he stays and gets bought in Jan!

Mavididi scored in an Arsenal U23 6-5 win the other day.

Along with just about everyone else it seems. I'd expect us to be getting a defender from one of those teams!
And....step forward Krystian Bielik.... a defender who played for Arsenal in the 6-5 LOSS. (Although he did score.)

And this is why every time it looks like things might prosper when the injured players are back we take another step backwards (if true)

Also goes to show the only budget afforded to Bowyer is a small % of wages cleared from the wage bill.

Until a takeover happens it's all about survival this season.

I thought Bowyer said before the transfer window ended that Bauer is going nowhere, he enjoys it here and in London. Probably means rumours are true

Lee Bowyer says that there has been no fresh interest in Nicky Ajose – with the striker playing for an ultra-young Charlton Athletic side in the League Cup on Tuesday.

The Addicks boss revealed before the campaign started that the former Swindon Town and Manchester United forward might have the possibility of a move abroad.

But Ajose, one of the higher earners at the club, is still on the books.

Bowyer – when asked about if there was anything on the go for the striker – said: “At the moment, no. Not that I’m aware of.

“Nicky’s situation abroad has gone, because it was more of a permanent thing.

No-one has come in for any of our players. If they do we’ll think about it and go from there.

“Our squad is really thin at the moment and we can’t be chucking away too many people. When we start getting players back from injury then things might change – but the window could also be closed by then.”

Doesnt sound like any bids for BFG

Doesn't sound like Bowyer's HEARD of any bids. Sadly in current circumstances that doesn't mean all that much...

Who are we possibly expecting back from injury before the end of August? Apart from Pearce aren't they all long term?

Bowyer will ensure he's not declared fit before the loan transfer window closes.
