I also know that we never had any intention of playing 3 spinners so we, clearly, misread the pitch and prepared one for their bowling strength.0

Don’t think he was shifting the blame. If I was him I’d be pretty annoyed we’ve just prepared that pitch, clearly playing into Lancs hands. So much for home advantage and all that0
