Murray didn't look right all tournament and I suppose we were all hoping that as he survived each game he would get stronger, but he just didn't look any more than 80% of what he has shown before at any time. Well done to him - he battled through to the end.

    Querrey is likeliest IMO

Feds is favourite by miles. Most talented, in the best form and probably even in his mid thirties the fittest and best conditioned.

Cillic would be second favourite though because he has won a slam before and experience does count in major finals.

Federer's such a smooth customer in interview haha, I bet he's never had to employ a PR person ever

So Murray struggles on to the end with pain and dignity while Djokovic just gives up. Says a lot.

No contest this one. Is a shame Rybarikova not playing anything like she has before.

6-1 5-1 to Muguruza... this should be all over quite quickly.

Really impressive Muguruva, if she plays like that on Saturday, she'd be really hard to beat

That quick match has really screwed up my planned afternoon's viewing. I was hoping to watch the whole of today's last climb in the Tour de France without missing too much of the the tennis. Looks like the climax of today's climb will clash with the climax of the second semi.

    Looking grim for Konta.

If Konta can take her to a third set I think she will win, but looking unlikely!
  • As good as over now
  • Venus in to her 16th grand slam final but it'll only be her 7th that isn't against Serena.

Should be a good final. Venus is a veteran of such finals, while Muguruva has been there 2 years ago, and won Paris last year so shouldn't frieze either

Konta was a bit unlucky - she nearly broke in the first set before losing it and was broken in the second set by some lucky points for Williams. Williams had a lot of power and when she just got the ball back, Konsa didn't punish her enough. Konsa had to play great shots though to win the point and Williams had to to a lesser extent.

Am sure she will come back stronger.

Not as if she chucked it away or choked - Venus was the better player on the day.

Yes, she was just beaten by the better player today. Konta has improved a lot over the last 2 years, keep that up and she'll be winning majors soon.
