  • Has Duchatelet or LDT released their “these things take time” statement yet?

Cawley saying it’s not imminent but Dalman does have the ‘financial power to compete in the championship unlike others’

Basically confirming what some on here have thought, the Aussies don’t have the cash to be a viable option.
So maybe Roland will drop them like a lead balloon for this guy?
  • Surely, not even Roland can screw this up.

He must know that (no thanks to him) this is his best time to sell the club for a decent price.

    Now or never Roland.
He can and probably will out of spite .

I seriously don't think Roland operates out of spite. His motivation is to make as much money as possible. He will sell to the highest bidder, or one that allows him to retain the Valley and training ground,  when HE decides to.
He operates out of having lost his marbles.

Yes. He definitely doesn't do loyalty or sentiment

He obviously has few scruples so why should he worry about dropping anyone if someone with a bigger offer comes along?

Maybe Dalman has been the missing piece of investment the Aussies have been looking for?

Dalman gets part ownership & the Chairman’s seat that he craves and the Aussies get their football club.
  • Can confirm this one has legs, been keeping that close to my chest for months
Dalman on the left. Who’s the other gentleman?
    Leivan de Porche

@Redhenry in the sense of he’s got dough, has he got lots as in billionaire or just enough to buy the club then play the under 14s every week?
Hard to gauge, he would have made decent money in the City but not hundreds of millions. It's possible he could have made some serious money in the Middle East. But my guess would be that he's got investment from elsewhere as well as his own dosh.
  • I wonder if he'll have an issue with the ex-director loans.....???.

Cant see it happening anyway. Only now doing DD so bound to come across some skeletons from the spiv days & walk run like the clappers.....
  • I don’t reckon this’ll happen

Yep, with Red Bull and Usmanov providing the financial clout.

    .
  • Poor Aussies will be gutted if they miss out after waiting for 2 years
They might have their consortium in place by the time Dalman wants to sell the club
  • Wikipedia say that he is the owner of Charlton Athletic!
