At least after selling Forest he said next time he’d bring in a chairman and CEO and let them run the club. Unlike Roland who still blames protesters and anything else he can, anyone but himself.
However after what happened at Forest he shouldn’t be allowed to buy another club.
All i would add to balance it out is when Meire was announced as going to Wednesday, social media was equally flooded by Charlton fans with similar warnings of incredulity and incompetence.
However, they quite like her and it seems they’ve got a different Katie to the one we had here.
He won’t be buying it. Won’t pay the £50 million plus all debts. Roland apparently said he still wants a say in the training ground too after he has sold it.
Having had time to reflect, if they bring in a Varney as CEO (or similar) plus a group of people who know the club to run it, he might have learnt lessons and it’ll be ok. If he does what he did at Forest and run it himself, we could be in trouble.
98% sure he would be a disaster, 2% that he could have learned from his mistakes and be the Yann of owners. Not liking the odds on this one. The comment with the tweet is the most worrying as it looks to be further on than a nosey round.
Seems that the rumours about multiple bids for the Club aren't far off the mark.
Another potential purchaser was also being shown around the Club yesterday. Pictured below is another possible owner being shown round Sparrows Lane by Leiven De Turck (second left).
Imagine the pre-match entertainment. There'd be more performers than fans watching the game!!
Whoever we get is going to be flawed. Only a fool would invest in football and only an imbecile would pay Duche's asking price. An owner who interferes with managerial decisions would obviously be a detriment to the club but it is relatively normal and an age old problem. My main gripe with Duche, apart from him being a moron, is the player farm philosophy. Under his ownership we haven't really been a football club - winning has been secondary. Basically I would take anyone but Duche and hope for the best.
I can't find the post but I thought I read that the photo of Fawaz looking out over the Valley from the centre circle hospitality suite was taken on Monday with De Truck man in the background? Doesn't mean to say it wasn't him but the latter only works Tuesdsys to Thursdays. WIOTOS
Fawaz was 100% at The Valley yesterday (Wednesday)

Why, does he like looking at draining ditches and unfinished plans?

The New Years Eve rockets could be quite impressive though.
Is this still not ongoing? Would have thought so as can't find anything about the outcome. Was due to be in court late April/ early May this year. EFL supposedly involved. Did he get off? Win? get some money back?

Not sure the price was ever 50m AND the debt, that'd make the price over 100m.

Standard Liege fans forewarned us about our current muppet and he was given the benefit to bestow his clusterfuckery upon us for the next few years.
Now apparently swathes of Forest fans are passing on their sympathies ahead of this potential new ownership.
Sensible business people tend to learn from mistakes. Ego driven autocrats no so much.
Always thought that the "anyone but Roland" mantra lacked the required nuance in the current climate of club ownership in this country whereby sheer lunacy, stubbornness and incompetence appears to be pre- requisite for acquiring an English footballing institution.
Hopefully if this goes through we'll strike unbelievably lucky and break the mould and this one doesn't turn out to be another clown of similarly catastrophic proportions.

Wonder what he made of him?
