  • No. He was appointed because he has been on Murrays radar for quite a while. Says everything you need to know.

I'd take relegation if it meant Duchatelet walks. Let's face it, he's never going to get his money back. You bought the wrong club you old fool. Lower half mediocrity 50% Relegation 50% Feeling real anger about this whole situation #WeWantOurCharltonBack

Karl Robinson hasn't even had a whole season so it's a stupid stat

At what point will it become a meaningful stat, before or after relegation?

    Tuesday is massively important now

Obviously events happening off the pitch are are far more important, but we need the atmosphere to push us to the win we desperately need

The away fans at Peterborough are literally right alongside the directors box and only 3 or 4 yards away from the away directors and guests and by god they gave Meire some stick, but she simply stared straight ahead and didn't look at them, not even once.
Thought I saw Sue Parkes ranting back at the protesting fans from about 3 or 4 yards away at the end of the game.....she stayed and fronted them down for several minutes if I'm not mistaken, though I was some distance away to know exactly what took place.....maybe others can confirm my take on what I believe happened.

Roland and Katrien are just like Spock and Kirk - taking Charlton where no Charlton has gone before.

Have a look at the footage on the North Korea reaches SE7 thread.

The booing of Novak was really harsh today. He missed the chance first half but he won almost every header and didn't hide.

His performance didn't warrant the crap from our fans.

Fair play to him for clapping us as he came off. Not sure I would've done.

This exactly! He may have missed that chance but he worked as hard if not harder than watt. So in no way do I agree with the booing of him. If people actually tracked his all round game he brings the team into play a lot and his touch is actually pretty good. He also tracks to cover the midfield positions but people only notice chances missed. Which is fair enough but we don't have a goal scorer full stop. And he has the movement to get into those positions. Didn't see watt have many chances today? Novak was the one who had the half volley the goalie saved. He gets made a scapegoat when others on the pitch play worse. I agree he's a striker and should score but the call that everyone wanted which was magennis on, did nothing to increase our chances which we had once we was on and Tony watt had done nothing to warrant not coming off. I think it's absurd that Novak gets criticism week in week out and yet he goes off and the game goes flat. Same can be said for Northampton away we didn't have a chance after he went off that day.

Agree totally and to cheer when he got injured was pure brains of Britain stuff

I agree but it happens at all clubs in our position. I don't condone booing Novak, but it isn't the first time he has passed up a golden opportunity and people are going to look for scapegoats! What has to change is the whole squad, with the right players around him, Novak may be a better player. Novak may be one of the problems - It is the job of the manager to a) keep us up, b) then be ruthless. Powell sorted it out quite ruthlessly - but he was backed - I just don't think the club is run well enough to figure out what needs to be done. And I don't know if Robinson is up to the responsibility. He may be, I don't know! Even if he was, he won't get the support needed. We have to hope this owner goes in the next couple of months.

The problem I see is that poor business has been done, so the budget is wasted on players you can't shift. Robinson will probably need to ship out the deadwood and the too expensive first, but that might not be easy if nobody is going to offer even a similar contract.

In all honesty, there should be too much quality in the squad this season, but it doesn't have enough leaders and it doesn't have enough goalscorers in it! That was clear before the winter window, but we lost goal scoring from the squad rather than added to it! If we stay up this season, why should we expect better next season? With this mob in charge, I expect the same or worse!

When I woke up this morning I had a moment when I couldn't remember if the football season had finished or not. That's how engaged I am under these losers.

I lose track what day of the week it is. What month we are in. What year we are in. Is that a sign of me getting old?

No it's just a bad dream you're having like me, we'll wake up one day and everything will be fine once the regime have gone.

I got up early to do some fishing near March, Cambs with the intention of going to the game around lunchtime......Lunchtime came and I thought....football or carry on catching carp....Glad I didnt go to the game as I had a great afternoon, only slightly spoiled by the expected result. Nonetheless, I will be there come Tuesday night regardless to pay my respects to our fallen hero.

She's a fucking moron. So previous managers have said Driesen is involved in signing players but she insists otherwise. I know who i believe.

Well that's not really telling us very much.....was it a hostile conversation, did any of you make your feelings felt, did you ask her questions, did she answer any questions, did she make her feelings be known re those protesting, does she realise that as an apologist she is in a very small minority, was Chris with her?
Sorry if I sound a bit demanding but your post whilst intriguing, it doesn't really paint a very concise picture of what took place, which might be a lot more interesting if you could find the time to give us a bit more background info of her general frame of mind at the time.
I for one would appreciate it if you could.
    Cheers.

If Roland doesn't sell we should have a total boycott until he fucks off.

Just sell the club you complete tosser

Meire got pelters from the crowd I understand. She has to take her fair share of the blame. Why doesn't he sack her - she must be good at something? It does make you wonder doesn't it?
yep - making waffles and steaming mussels apparently

I will tomorrow, lagging at the mo.
But you can safely imagine she is an apologist, blind to everything that is happening. I'll write a little report tomorrow.

I was there . Not read any of the previous posts.

My personal, amateurish view, is our manager and the players probably should have faces that match the colours of the shirts the team wore today.

As should be those of the dickheads that wanted Novak replaced.

If that was Katrien that I saw getting a load of stick after the game then her expression and body language actually gave me the comfort that she understood that something needs to change

Great day out otherwise, which is what football is all about

And on that subject, If there is a club that should go out of business it is Peterborough. The ground was half empty so making it all ticket because we had sold 700 tickets was total bollox. having two gents toilets, each where only 5 blokes could have a piss and one could have a dump is totally inadequate as was only having a tiny, half-stocked cubicle for refreshments and the seats were built for midgets

Really can't be arsed to comment on the game!! Highlight for me was the comment from the girl sitting behind me (as she was getting chatted up by some middle aged fella when the game was still 0-0).

    Quote: 'Peterborough are bang average!!

    F*****g priceless!!

I'm normally an optimistic person, but I've felt for a while now that our match against Swindon on the last day of the season will determine which of us goes down. It feels even more likely now.

I'm amazed that Robinson isn't getting more pelters to be honest. His time at our club has been pitiful. It's fine to say he doesn't have "his kind" of players at his disposal, but that's a pathetic excuse. It's his responsibility as manager to work with the assets that he has, not the ones he wishes he had. He has been an abject failure in his role and I just don't see him having the nous to turn it around. I know this administration has been far too trigger-happy when it comes to managerial changes, but this was yet another bad appointment and frankly Robinson is out of his depth. I think we are headed for relegation under him.

What a shambles. Please just sell.

    Quality post. Spot on mate.

On the plus side. The Valley will be the biggest ground in league two. Something to be proud of.

The Ricoh Arena is bigger than The Valley
    Phew!! TFFT!!!
