Rolands plan is running Perfectly. Sell any talent (thats why he was so interested in Academy when he took over) to the highest bidder. He has no plans for getting the team promoted or spend to do so.. If you are naive enough to think that he has any interest in Charlton as a club then you must have had your head buried in the sand for the last 3 years.
We've got three players in and in my view those that have left were better. Unfair I know as haven't seen them play...but not very upbeat about it.
Foley brings that average right down though !
I agree though, swapping Lookman, Fox & Foley for Da Silva, JFC & Page doesn't on paper seem to be an improvement - let's hope it's part of a strategy that isn't as short sighted as "let's sell absolutely anyone we can and replace them as cheaply as possible".
Is it looking good? If we were in the top 3 based on the comments made about commitment to get back to where we were, then it would BETTER than it is now. But it still wouldn't be GOOD because we are still LOWER than when Roland and his regime took over. And in the meantime, our owner proclaims the opportunity for a knees up and a bit of socialising is the main function of this football club, whilst spouting that anyone who does not agree with this is stupid. So in answer to the question is it looking good? - no, it looks shite, but we are all hoping that somehow these clowns don't mess it up too much more before they eventually decide they are bored with it all and fuck off.
Halfway and not looking all bad, certainly a better place than where we were. We all new some would go, but if player wants to go there's not a lot you can do. At least they are bringing in new blood which is always a good thing and will give the team a lift, could still see a few more. Things certainly seem to be a little different to last season( in some ways). End of the season will prove if they got it right......play offs here we come.
They have messed up every transfer window since they arrived. Hence we are mid table in league one. I doubt this one will be any different. So please forgive me Roland but I won't be dancing any time soon.
I wholeheartedly believe that the sum of the parts are more important than individuals. If KR has been able to find talent that mould to be a good team thanks to their character, effort etc., things will improve. If recent history repeats itself and we've gone for the minimum we can possibly get by with or KR has had little say, it's another step to becoming an average 3rd division team or worse.

Just sell up and jog on you plank
Still moaning Blackpool I've told you we will make the play offs
It has been a long time since I've posted anything Charlton football related on this site. I, like the majority of other fans, not the 2% KM seems to believe, have found this dire situation at our beloved 'cloob' difficult to take. My kids are 10 and 8 so can't quite grasp the politics of what's going on but know that the fans want shot of the owner and those related to him running the club. They miss going to football with their dad. I miss it too having chosen to boycott. But the longer I'm not attending The Valley the more my boys will get disinterested in Charlton and might try and follow other teams, although I won't let them. I haven't been to The Valley at all this season. By the sounds of it some of the games have been worth staying at home for. However, I'm missing it. We might have to go to a game for a quick fix? As soon as RD has sold up then Senpai and family will be returning on a regular basis.
In response to the title, no I don't think it's looking good. I think RD is papering over massive cracks with unestablished players whilst increasing his own wealth. OK Jake Forster-Caskey might have potential but I've never heard of Lewis Page. How much RD is willing to allow KR to invest in more players remains to be seen and how much of the money is actually put back into the club rather than line his own pockets might only be evident once the accounts are done.
Not convinced by the new signings so far that the regime has learned from previous mistakes. Can't see us getting to play - offs unless the gamble on Watt comes off .

My guess is the end of this transfer window or 30 mins into the Millwall fixture .
Will settle for play offs though.
Which I think we will achieve

We still look like a mid table League 1 side to me.
Win a few, Lose a few, Draw a lot.

Is Roland still the president? Is Katrien still CEO?
Yes to both?
Conclusion: - Nope, it's not good, it's not remotely close to good, it's still completely terrible with no prospect of improvement.
I doubt this one will be any different.

Guess we won't be getting anyone else this window....
He's going to struggle to better them as signings.
Ditto Watt if he can get his head in gear.
Still need more decent players to make a squad though, but they may not be as good as those three.

Another season in division three beckons.
