Wedded to 4-2-3-1. My view was always to gve a new manager time to plug into the job. So no to @raytreacy69's halucinogenic ravings about what a great job he was doing after four matches, and also no to sacking yet another manager after 20 games. However, he does all manner of things calculated to rile the fans (perpetually blaming officials for defeats, bigging up Young players he has barely worked with, and proclaiming no-existant 'marquee signings), all of which would be mostly forgotten when the results come, but we don't even have that scant consolation now.
I'll be honest. While I am coming to dislike his medi, a personality, I don't want another sacking - the cloob needs some stability. But in my heart, I come to doubt if he has the slightest idea how to turn this around. To be honest, I felt the same about CP in is first couple of months, and I loved how he made my doubts look foolish - I hope KR can do the same. But all the time he is locked into one strategy, when the players he has do not suit it, the doubts grow. And our idiot owner may yet decide that KR's public grovelling and worshipfull creeping around himself and Katrien do not make amends for a possible brush with relegation.
  • I wish KR would just f*** off - I can cope with useless but not content with that he's also irritating.
  • Anybody want him to stay?
  • Won't care until the Belgian success story has run its course and they have fucked off
  • Anybody want him to stay?

Nah, overstayed his welcome by about 3 months.
  • Didn't think he could manage three points in seven games this month but he has. They might just sack him.

Either way, still don't think whoever they have in the dugout will make much difference between now and the end of the season.

The squad needs someone to galvanise them and the bullsh*t artist clearly isn't that bloke.

Jackson is about the only appointment that I can see having any short term success. But I don't want him anywhere near the job.

  • Euell in charge is our only hope.
  • Why would anyone want this bloke to stay ? Tactical genius ? Nope.
    Shrewd transfer dealings ? Nope.
    Improved league position? Nope
Great man management with the players ripping up trees for him ? Forget it.
Yes the Belgians are killing the club, but we need a manager not a clueless media tart.
The sooner Tarby pisses off back to the Palladium the better.
  • You could put the best manager/coach in the world to replace KR, wouldn't make any difference - until Douchebag goes nowt will change - in fact things will get even worse.

Surely that's not true about best manager/coach. Robinson talks the talk but can't put those words into practice. Nugent, even though he didn't want the job, made this team work. An amalgamation of the 2 would do the job. I want RD and KM out, no doubt about that in my mind. But the right person in charge of the team on match day's will make a difference.
  • A better manager may not be able to lead this side to automatic promotion, I agree, but they'd make the best of what they have. A bad manager, on the other hand, can take a mid-table side and make it a relegation candidate. As we are seeing now.
  • I wanted him to stay for continuity purposes, but now ..... no.

If he stays now it will be for relegation purposes!

  • I am a boycotter and two 0-0 draws and Karl Robinson are not going to temp me to give my money to the club until Roland has gone.

Thanks for that - and you entitled to your opinion but you might have a long wait before he sells!

    Oh dear, I give in.

Really not worth talking to you. Obviously you can never be wrong.

    Can't be bothered any longer.

I think if you read what DRAddick said was that Robinson fucked off dow

    Where is raytreacy69?

He was with me in Northampton yesterday and i think i have converted him.
It took a while but he now knows we are buggered under this lot
Steve, (RT69) don't rise to the nut scratchers. It's Sunday morning and they've finished playing with themselves so it's let's have a go at RT69. Reading your initial opening thread again I can see where you were coming from but having known you for over 40 years I know you are always glass half full give the guy a chance etc. Nothing wrong in that considering he'd only just got the job. As I couldnt make it yesterday we haven't had a chance to chat, what's your view now.

Thanks Steve - not posted on here for a long time.I have Always tried to be positive and give any manager of Charlton a chance. Some on here have their own agenda and only seem to delight at the Clubs woes.Pretty sad when one so called fan who was there yesterday celebrated when Northampton scored the winner. So getting back to my original post - Yes I wanted him to succeed and felt he was what was needed but some were critical of him simpley because he is a Scouser. The club is rotten from top to bottom and it appears he has lost the dressing room.If that is the case then reluctantly I feel he has to go and in the short term replace him with JJ hopefully to restore morale in the team and do enough to keep us up.I make no apology for starting this original post but if it pleases some on here then I will admit that in hindsight I was wrong.COYR
JJ has no experience as a manager or a coach. I can't see this being a positive solution.

Good effort for that. Were there really some fans not wanting Robinson because he's a scouser ?
I think the majority of fans were happy to give him a chance. Robinson hasn't helped himself from day one.

Any backing down from previous appeasers or 3rd or 4th chance-givers pleases me. Thank you RT69.
