If CARD wants to sit down with Katrien or Rolland it isn't a problem we have there home addresses, perhaps pop in for a cup of tea?
Probably best to take the stance of SELL THE CLUB though, apparently they don't like guests rocking up at there houses.
Seems to me that turning up at someone's parents house is creepy and intimidating and just doesn't help in anyway to achieve what I hope is everyone on here's ultimate goal to get our Club out of the miserable place it is currently in.
I agree it could be intimidating but to suggest that this was the aim or intention of the gallent supporters would be wrong.
The clear aim was to embarrass and I think it achieved that, which I think was helpful at that point in time.
However, it is a very sobering thought at just how easy it is for anyone to track down ones own family armed with only basic information that is so readily available. Hopefully I will never have access to any information that anyone desperately needs, or upset anyone to that degree. Freedom from fear is such a delicate and fragile right.
MAy as well go all the way and admit to wanting curbs out. He stayed about 5 years too long (similar to his good mate Fergie). Boring boring football. 6 in defence, with solid 4 in midfield as soon as we lost the ball. Yes premier league, but that wasn't football!
5 years too long? Sorry but that is possibly the most ridiculous statement I've seen on here for years. You mean before Parker and Jensen at their best and then Smertin Murphy and Bent albeit their collective peak was only half a season
Part of the protests has been to protest against the hiring of incompetent foreign managers who don't have any experience of English football.
When we get relegated the spin will be to blame the manager rather than the systemic mis-management of the club - "We did what the fans asked for and appointed an experienced English manager, it wasn't our idea, it's the fan's fault we've been relegated."
We are getting closer to something posted months ago - what do we actually want? I hear the "get the owners out" but dare I say that isn't our actual goal. For example - RD leaves and we get the same again but with a different name - have we achieved our objective? No. What we actually want is Charlton back as Charlton. This message should be stronger than it is right now. It's not RD or KM personally it's about how they are managing Charlton.
I can already hear the replies of - that is what we say, read the messages. But I'm afraid in the same way many said they wanted a quality coach with experience etc all that was heard were those who were asking for British British British. Our PR needs to be better than this.
No doubt that will be taken as a negative but in fact it simply asks for more, ambition to be better - something we all can be in life. Never stop improving. (Not a religious statement btw).

It's odd that you use terms like "we" and "our". Who is this "we" and "our" that you talk off?
And you're right. All this has been answered before and on numerous occasions and you already know the answers so why are you even asking again other than to get a reaction.
More importantly how are you getting on with the potential buyer @Cambridge You personally can make a difference here but you seem unwilling to even mention that other than to moan about the impact of the protests.
"never stop improving" you said. Please act on your own words and put that owner in touch with CARD ASAP
Have no doubt that CARD considered all their options before issuing the response to the invitation but my only thought is did they consider saying they would accept on the proviso that RD attended the meeting?
I think the Trust have tried and exhausted that route already.
While I'll never say never to meetings, I agree with CARD in this case. What is there to discuss? The club keep saying they have learnt, will change, but nothing happens to demonstrate that.
If they really want to have a constructive relationship with the large segment of the fans who have become disillusioned with their leadership, they should just keep quiet and execute a plan to turn this around without contstant spin.
Perform basic stadium maintenance, complete the Acadamy, deliver tickets on time, appoint a truly independent Director of Football, give him a budget and let him run the club.
They know what the problems are - fix them. Don't tell us what you want to do/plan to do/hope to do, just do it.
When people see real change, not just talk about how they would like to change, maybe there will be a thaw in relations.
Until then, they have zero credibility in many people's eyes, so what is there to talk about.
The "we have learnt from our mistakes" line is, as we can all recognise, is a spin engineered by the PR people employed by the Club.
If Duchatelet really acknowledged his mistakes the prime ones IMO
1. appointment of Meire as CEO - which patently has failed.
2. Appointment of Driesen as an internet scout for the network inclusive of Charlton. This ridiculed here and in certain circles in Belgium.
Then he would have dispensed with the services of both.
However, Roland 'doesn't do failure' (how I hate that arrogant throwaway line from Meire) so he will continue unabashed with both Meire and Driesen no matter how much valid criticism comes their way.
So, how much has Duchatelet learned during his 2.5 years of ownership (whilst condescending to spend 1.5% of his working time on Charlton) - I would suggest very little and on top of this he somehow still adheres to this Utopian belief that fans from rival teams will meet up for drinks pre-game just like Rugby.
Well, he gets his wish about this on Saturday but not perhaps in the way he envisaged when fans of both clubs get together in condemnation of RD. Meire and the Coventry owners.

I think it's easy to forget just how good the standard was in those days. What is served up now is nowhere near that level.

Are you for real? We had some great games and memories from the Premiership days. What is served up now is almost a different sport it is so inferior!

Would much rather boring football in the Premier League than League 1 to be honest.

Let's not forget that back in those days we weren't just watching future Premier League stars in Charlton colours we were watching current Premier League stars ... and they were playing for us!
What's hiliarious* is that KM and RD clearly believe 100% that they are in the right and everyone else is wrong. What they don't realise is they will never be able to make a success running Charlton because they are not competent to do so. The parlous position the club finds itself in now, with empty swathes of seats, disinterested players, and an inadequate manager say all that needs to be said.

We. Will. Win.
If so then maybe the Belgium 20 should admit to mistakes in the past and then get straight back out there and do it again.
Then they could admit to making mistakes in the past... And go back out there and do it again...
And on...and on.....and on.
If you can't beat them, learn from them!
*Would be hilarious, if it wasn't so tragic.
Oh wait.........
