  • Is there anyone left out today who would usually play that means is therefore likely to feature in the pizza cup tomorrow?
    Toby Bower?
  • Very inexperienced team.
    We shall see what’s what.
Good luck anyway, learn from the experience whatever else.
  • No Huke I see, nor Kedwell, nor Elewere…others too.

Chris Lock’s side are expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 formation with Mitchell joining captain Nazir Bakrin, Josh Laqeretabua and Matt Dench in a back four in front of goalkeeper Henry Molyneux.

Jason Adigun, Harvey Kedwell and Jeremy Santos make up a midfield three behind Tolu Ladapo, Patrick Casey and Henry Rylah.

Prince Adegoke, Jacob Roddy, Keenan Gough, Jacob Safa and Ibrahim Fullah are named on the substitutes bench.

Those in bold played in the last U21s game so might play or be on the bench tomorrow.  Mitchell is now at Colchester

  • AMB will away on international duty, so there'll definitely be a rookie keeper in the squad tomorrow for a start
  • 1-0 Casey.
That’s after Rylah hit the bar a minute earlier.
  • 1-0 Casey taps in to open scoring in a lovely sunny Valley

  • Actually Rylah should have scored. He missed a couple of open goals against Wigan previously.
    C’mon Henry lad.
  • Casey looks a proper goalhanger. have not had one of them for a while.
  • Wouldn't have minded seeing Casey on the bench tomorrow night but unless the plan is that he's playing 45 that seems unlikely

Agree. He simply seems to have the knack for no obvious reason.
Very handy and rather different in this day and age.
  • Lots of fluid breaks I should think, it's a hot 🥵 one at The Valley by the looks of it
  • Fullah has been decent early on.

Put them all in the first team.

    Sorry.
  • 1-1
Birmingham have got their bearings, but dunno why we’re not leading by a couple of goals.
  • Mbick didn't seem to know what to do when running 1 on 1

Wasn't sure if he should loft it over him or run it passed him and did neither

Less than 30 seconds later its 1-1
  • Wasn't Sahid Kamara with us last season?

  • Some great passing from Santos.

Yes, signed a pro deal with Brum, err, today it seems
  • We have had loads of good chances this half, both entertaining and disappointing in equal measure.
  • We’ve got Santos and Ladapo. All are problem are over.
  • 2-1 Mbick. Ahead as we should be
  • I wish the camera operator could adjust the filters for the deep shadow at the Jimmy Seed.
2-1 Mbick close range Fullah assist.
  • Santos's passing and crossing has been superb this half.

Chances missed in this first half we could easily be 5-1 up...
  • Big smile for that Casey effort. Long range over the bar.
I think I can figure him out. He has that Hales kind of single mindedness.
