  • Just a show piece to see if Dabo worth signing, and hoping other clubs sees more than we do by taking Kirk, DJ and Four candles
  • Classic. Easily the better side, but injuries, (cramp?) and the ref intervene.
Still, Dabo and Ladapo (good song names!) looked good.
Jaiyesimi also looked ok, for the scouts perhaps?
  • Don’t see why Terry Smith is complaining about the referee not stopping the game for Roddy’s injury. Charlton had possession of the ball after that but chose to attack rather than kick it out of play.
  • Let's get out of this mentality that it's always the ref, luck or somebody else's fault. It's usually concentration or decision based.

  • Well that was unimpressive. Given the number of players we had with first team experience we looked as poor as Wigan.
We not be looking to that squad for goal scorer.
Also what us it with are club and fitness levels. We had 3 players down at the end with cramp. They had none.
A poor game if football from both sides.
  • So of the 4 senior players

    Dabo - Good
    Jaiyesimi - decent enough
Kirk - a single flash of potential.
McGrandles - not even a single moment that was worth speaking about.
  • Jaiyesimi you saw on Saturday fitters to decieve. Dabo not that good Kirk except for one pass in the opponents area at the end you would not have known he was on the pitch McGrandles like the rest of the youth not ready for first team football.
They played a very poor Wigan side today.
  • As Dabo had a Charlton shirt with a number and his name on it. I take it that means he is on our books now.
  • Watched the game, Dabo impressed, DJ played very well, McGrandles and Kirk disappointing again.

Where did he have that? Because on the pitch they all just wore 1-11

    I thought Dabo was great!
  • Tantalisingly close to doing a Golfie today  :D

So Dabo failed his medical but as he is fitter that most of our players, he is still on trial🤔

So like a driving test, keep having medical's until you pass one.

Dabo looked and played like a grown up Asimwe. Remember he was Coventry's player of the year a few years ago.
Whether he is match fit for mens football is another matter, but if he can relieve Asimwe for 25 mins at the end then fine.
  • Is the U21s game at Coventry today and if so is there a stream?
  • That Coventry lineup would beat our first XI.
  • Zach Mitchell will start today’s U21s away fixture at Coventry City.

Chris Lock’s side are expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 formation with Mitchell joining captain Nazir Bakrin, Josh Laqeretabua and Matt Dench in a back four in front of goalkeeper Henry Molyneux.

Jason Adigun, Harvey Kedwell and Jeremy Santos make up a midfield three behind Tolu Ladapo, Patrick Casey and Henry Rylah.

Prince Adegoke, Jacob Roddy, Keenan Gough, Jacob Safa and Ibrahim Fullah are named on the substitutes bench.

  • No team news on cafctwitter Twitter as of one minute ago.
If there is a stream and anybody knows about it, would you mind posting a link or how to find it?
  • Going to the a tough game against a very strong Coventry side but it's a called a "development" league for a reason.

    Asiimwe, Ness, Deji
    Anderson, T Campbell
    Leaburn, Kanu

could all be playing this afternoon
  • No Dabo.

    Wonder why?

Dubai saying he will sign but ValiantErith saying he's failed another medical
  • Would have been against his former side too.
  • No Dabo.

Maybe Pearce has all of the guys that will be around the team in for extra training!

Quite possible but we haven't signed him, yet.
  • No live feed as yet, shame.

We're not in charge of it, it's at Coventry so would only be streamed if they're filming it. Huge ask for us to send cameramen following the under 21s across the country, doubt many league 1 clubs do that
  • looks like no live coverage of the U21 game on Charlton TV. Just get the notice unavailable. Seems we no longer stream these games.
  • 1-0 Cov already. That didn’t take long.
