This is another eat away at my loyalty having being a season ticket holder since the early 80s and went to most u/21 games too over the last few years . Its the principle - these were included and these little perks, including Charlton Women's matches,  have tipped me into buying my ticket in recent times despite the on/off ownership stuff. No more.
  • I'm sure the players would love the support and to say to season ticket holders that they have to pay to do that is pathetic. For the record, I am a VG member but not a season holder and really do not see why I should benefit to the detriment of those that pay a lot more (and are more profitable to the Club as a result).
  • I'll buy a season ticket for the women's team next season and go and watch more London Irish games.
  • What will they charge for the U21's games?  £2-5 a match I assume?  I mean total revenue if it didn't piss anyone off and the same numbers till attended, what a couple hundred pounds?  Totally pointless by the club to remove a perk for those economics.
  • I tried appealing to someone above the ticket office and got an answer about needing to cover the costs of issuing the free tickets.

I have run the economics past them and said that I have given up and won't be buying a season ticket. My boycott started tonight. No more TV passes for midweek games for me.
  • Why would they need to incur the cost of issuing me a ticket. I have a season ticket. All they need to do is check my season ticket when I arrive.
Or they could go back to using Princes Rd and I will show my season ticket there.

Your season ticket doesn't work the gates at The Valley.
  • It works the turnstiles as on first team match days.

Yes but they have it set so it won’t work for the under 21 games.

Although it's a preview, I see the club has already decided it will be Charlton-Nil

The appropriate gates only work for your normal season ticket seat. This is why they have to issue a paper ticket for games where only the lower west is open.

Thanks , I wondered why. Having said that it is 2023 and surely there is a way to do it.
  • Burger Boy wants to raise a few quid in order to create his rancid offerings?
The season ticket refusal is deliberately nasty which perfectly fits the character of Burger Boy.
  • I have just checked and todays ticket is still free - so I shall pop to the Valley today at 2pm to cheer on the U/21s.

I wish I could be there but I've waiting 6 months for a hospital appointment and it just so happens to be happening today

Some things are more important than football.  Not many for me but this one is

Are you sure we can use our season tickets?
If so I shall attend too, but clive’s post above seems at odds with what you have found out.

Hi mate. I got a ticket when todays first went on "sale"  -   just saved the email on my mobile/email . It looks like they are now charging, but I checked mine again today and indeed it was at zero cost to me as a ST holder when I got it on 22/02/23. From now on they want to charge and this is why I am annoyed - Season Ticket loyalty gone. Tell them this and demand a freebie!! I know its only a few quid but it is the principle !   If they don't change then lets all bunk in over the Heights lol.
