  • All fees must be disclosed.
  • They may have mate, when I first looked it was just after the story was released, since going back they've added pictures and other info.
  • The add ons will pay to scotch guard the sofa this season.

It's on here, which was pretty similar wording to what was on the website. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-jordan-cousins-charlton-latest-130616
  • nowadays if a player wants to go, he goes .. there is no point in keeping disaffected players .. Cousins obviously didn't fancy playing in the third strata, so he's moved on .. he always gave 100% for us, I thank him & wish him all the very best except when he plays against us ..
now I am far more concerned with who takes his place in OUR midfield this coming season .. things move quickly on
  • Is this less than Middlesbrough paid for Nicky Bailey five years ago? That can't be right.

  • No surprise that he has left to go on and better his career. If the clowns in charge had not brought on this unnecessary relegation in the first place, then he would still be here.

No surprise that the figure being quoted is on the cheap side, however that has been the case for the last 30 years regardless who runs the club.

Still a few weeks before the transfer window closes, and I can see a few more on the way out before then. Gudmundsson, Pope, Tex, Lookman and Watt will go in my opnion.

People seemed to get all excited that the new 3 players coming in would improve our squad (Nothing wrong with them by the way) but seemed to forget that we would lose the other quality left in the squad.

If Rusty Slade is not given a fair percentage of the undisclosed fees received, to spend on replacements, then he will have to work his magic on the freebie market to get us in the top six this season.

I can see the squad from September not being a patch on the 2011/2012 squad that got us out of the third tier last time.

All the best Jordan. Pleasure to watch a local lad in a red shirt that gave his all for the cause.
  • Shocking.

How can anyone justify this price tag?

Has proven himself to be a quality Championship level midfielder. Potential to be in the premier league in a few years and we get naff all for him.

This club is a complete farce.

Boro paid £1.4m for Bailey six years ago.
  • No disrespect to those who think 1.5m is fair value, but for a 22yr old English player with 125 Championship games experience already and twice club PoTY who is secured on a long contract, I don't think they appreciate how the money has moved on in the game of late.

As an illustration of that, lets reflect on the fact that NINE YEARS AGO we paid £1.5m for Izall McLeod. Now consider all the new money that has flooded in to the English game since then, in the form of huge new TV deals both for UK and globally, a rash of minted new owners, not just in the FAPL, and of course £300m in taxpayers money thrown at just one club.

    This.

League One or not, he's under contract. If he wants to go on strike let him, he risks losing wages or other add-ons. But put a decent price on him and stick to it.

Wait who at the club would actually know what a decent price is? Who's running these transfers? This is a shambles.
  • I would have preferred him to go on a free. At least that way the books would be a bit harder to balance and Katy would have admit the customers importance as a revenue stream had just increased somewhat.
  • Just to add some sort of balance. We as fans rarely have the full picture when it comes to transfer deals. We have no idea how that fee is made up, if it's a full cash upfront amount arguably that's a better deal than a couple of mill spread over 2 years.

That said though it does seem a small amount on the face of it. Will wait to see what is done with the money before criticising.

Good luck Jordan, a good servant who gave all he had. Hope you go on to have a good career.

Good luck Jordan, it's a good move for you. I would have loved you to stay just one more year to help us up. But I respect you have to progress your career as well.

i don't think that's true in the current situation. There's no evidence of a cash flow issue or bank borrowing, which is why it may have been the case in the past.

  • With Cousins gone and JBG going we have lost our best two players from last season.

Additionally, our two most promising younger players from last season. Pope and Lookman are very sought after aswell.

I am starting to worry our season strategy will be based around Ajose and Novak scoring enough goals for us to win matches and no plan B
  • With that money we can buy a few more Bergdich's. Or a cheaper version of Naby Sarr. Or maybe an upgrade on PP.

Stupid fee, yet again we sell cheap

1.4 million ? That's so bad that I almost believe Katrien has done it to piss us off.

Having said that, and on a much lighter note i honestly wish JC the best. He has a tremendous attitude and engine which will propel him to good things in his career.

Wow we are crap at negotiating, still leopards and spots and all that, pleased I cancelled my valley gold and 4 season tickets, we are a farce.

None of that will be re-invested by Duchbag. Meire is just balancing the books. sorry but we should be re-named Charlton Titanic not Athletic coz with these mugs in charge we are sinking down down down..... I havent been since that Belgian wanker sold Kermgrant in Jan 14 and will not be back until they've gone.

A year ago, Premier clubs were interested in Cousins.
Because he played like a young Jordan Henderson ?
With the same iffy first touch erratic passing, but great team player who could cover every blade of grass and play in numerous positions. Now with a new start at 21, Jordan with hard work can improve both his passing, control as well as his shooting.
The FEE would have been about 2.5 million a year ago plus add ons.
so do we assume that QPR was the only team now interested after Charlton's terrible season and JC average season; and this is why the fee has dropped like a stone ?
