Is RD just a legal bully, threatening to bring the world crashing around the ears of anyone,KM,RM and RS included,if they cross some line he has drawn? He seems to give them explicit limits on what autonomy they have(if autonomy can be limited!)and after that the problem, whatever it is,is back fully in his control---or you're out if you disobey and RD sues you? They all seem to get to a boundary when talking then stop or divert(eg lie)as if approaching the edge of a metaphorical cliff. What a person to work for.Does anyone else see this or am I imagining it?

How many of you wallies actually believe that all of the other 91 league managers have it written into their contracts that they have sole control over transfers and the like!
Curbs did at West Ham.
Hence his constructive dismissal victory.
I'm sure he is not the only one.
That may well be true from 2008, but don't you think every club in the land would have looked at that and closed that door to being sued since then?
In this scenario, why shouldn't Slade have full control over footballing issues when RD/KM haven't a clue about the rigours of English league football?
If they were learning from their mistakes, they'd know that the last two years have been an unmitigated disaster and that they should keep their interference to a minimum when if comes to football related matters.
They would realise that KM is a laughing stock and that her negotiating player contracts/transfer fees or the like immediately puts us in a weaker bargaining position, because she is hopeless.
They would realise that if they continue to interfere, we will not be fighting for a play off place, we will be fighting against relegation.
They have lied throughout their tenure and Murray's 'woe is me' comment is one of the most pathetic I've heard at a newly appointed manager's press conference.
I wish RS all the best but nothing much has changed for me.

In which case surely Chris Wilder would have made himself unemployable, as it seems he wasn't willing to sign a contract that didn't contain that stipulation.
Incidentally, if it's a given that no managers these days have anything in their contracts about control of transfers, why do experienced sports journalists bother asking the question at press conferences such as today's?
If protests are to continue we need to do it properly. Not with flares and petty name calling or aggression and racism. That just makes us look childish and will definitely deter players from joining us.
If anyone dares use the word progress upon appointing RS (of whom has never once achieved promotion from a FL division) and even if we are to get promoted back to the Championship. Please remember that it would not be progresion - it would be a return to the starting point of when RD took over. We had an English manager and we were in the Championship.

At last! About time someone made a sensible comment! Whatever is said or any action nothing will ever be right for some of the posters on CL.

Its not going to be as black and white as having it in your contract or not. Any manager worth a rub that is going to join a club with a recent managerial history like ours, would take on board the comments from previous managers and insist that something is written in their contract along the lines of they have control over player recruitment but any fees have to agreed by the owner/CEO.
Slade is mental to think a verbal agreement means anything to this mob.

Yeah, i mean what with all the success we had last season, we should all be so much more grateful.

Are you taking the piss?
We are a basket case at the moment but two wrongs don't make a right. We, as fans, are better than that.
Racism is never acceptable The vicious name calling I have personally witnessed aimed at the Directors box is never acceptable I got abuse for not getting up and walking out in the 74th minute - what the fuck is that about? This is a football club not a picket line.
Protest if you choose but we get more attention for doing it the right way (inflatables and stress balls) than we ever will for mob rule

Curbs did when he was at West Ham, that's why he was able to sue them for constructive dismissal when they sold players behind his back. It's commonplace - Chris Wilder will undoubtedly have it in his contract at Sheffield United. Shouldn't post stuff like that when you clearly don't have the knowledge to back it up.
Very impressive man , when asked he said everything will go through him and we manage the club upwards .... Plus as I said already been working on transfers before he went away most likey during and yesterday already spoke to agents , players and clubs

99% of other managers don't have players arriving at their training sessions with suitcases un-announced. 99% of other managers are allowed to select their targets and manage their resources as they see fit. 99% of other managers have an open and healthy relationship with the club ownership. 99% of other managers aren't expected to play footballers not fit for the Ryman League in a Championship 1st Team.
Twist it whatever way you like, but answer the question, do you actually believe the other 91 league managers have it written into their contract?
It is immaterial what our dopey owner has done in the past, do you actually believe all the other owners/chairmen/CEO's would relinquish all control in transfer dealings to their manager?

Slade is an experaniced manager who knows football ..... He as full control as much as a manager can have in today football , he would not have taken the job of he did not , he says everything goes through me ........we manage upwards

Please please explain your point about racism...
When has that occurred?
